    Advanced Computer Entertainment primarily covered computer games though it had console coverage as well. Exactly what systems were covered depended on the issue but in 1990 it seems to have been the Atari ST, Amiga, Commodore 64, Amstrad CPC, Spectrum, PC, NES, and Sega. The February 1990 issue includes:

    • War! – A history of computer war games.
    • $6000 a Second! – An interview with John Lasseter on the state of computer animation. At the time, it took about a year to produce a 30 minute computer animated film.
    • ACE Flashback – The second part in a series on a look back on computer gaming in the 1980s.
    • ‘Ere We Go! – A look at recent soccer games which had experienced an explosion in popularity with more being released in 1990 that the previous three years combined.
    • Ocean’s Apart – A visit to Ocean’s headquarters to find out more about Robocop II, F-29 Retaliator II, and Carrier Command II.
    • The Food of Love – A look at various software and MIDI peripherals for home computers including Deluxe Music Construction Set, the Casio MT-540, Roland LAPC-1, Cheetah MD16 Drum-Box, and more.

    Advanced Computer Entertainment, or ACE for short, was a gaming magazine the mostly covered computers such as the Amiga, Atari ST, Amiga and others though consoles were also covered. The November 1990 issue includes:

      • Wing Commander – Classic space combat game for the PC. I was more of an X-Wing guy but this was a great game too.
      • Saint Dragon – A review of the Amiga conversion of this arcade adventure game.
      • Terran Envoy – A space strategy game for the PC.
      • Team Yankee – A combat tank sim for the Amiga.
      • Supremacy – Another space strategy game (this one for the Amiga) in which you must compete with four alien races for…supremacy.
      • Lotus Turbo Espirit Challenge – A racing game for the Amiga.
      • International 3D Golf – Preview of a golf game for the Amiga, Atari ST, and PC.

    • Ace of Aces – A look at the latest in military flight simulators.
    • Battle Command – A look at the development of a near future alternate reality military arcade strategy game. Referred to here as a 1990s version of Battlezone.
    • Brain Burn! – A look at the state of the art in biofeedback.
    • Wild Games Yonder – A look at the Consumer Electronics Show where 16-bit console games were the most popular, 8-bit games were hanging on and 16-bit computer games were still going strong.
    • Ants Attack – A look back at Ant Attack for the Spectrum as it is inducted to ACE’s hall of fame.

    Despite the name, Advanced Computer Entertainment, or ACE for short, covered both computer and console games. ACE was published in the U.K. for close to five years. The September 1991 issue includes:
