It has been announced that Star Wars Celebration 2017 is going to be held in Orlando, Florida. It will take place at the Orange County Convention Center on April 13-16, 2017. Tickets for the four-day event will go on sale May 25. This will not be the first time that Orlando has hosted the fan event. Celebration V and Celebration VI both took place in the City Beautiful.

This will be the first Star Wars Celebration held in Orlando since Walt Disney World announced the cancellation of the popular Star Wars Weekends. That annual event was held at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, but the park is now receiving a major overhaul.

Star Wars Celebration 2017 will also be the closest Celebration to the release of “Star Wars Episode VIII”. That is slated to hit theaters on December 15, 2017.
