The Anime Costume Contest at MegCon 2007.
This costume contest was sponsored by Anime Sushi and for years was the only costume contest at MegaCon. While the theme was anime it was somewhat flexible and it was not uncommon to see video game or sci-fi related costumes. There is still an anime costume contest at MegaCon but it is smaller than it used to be. The “main” costume contest is now something more professional…but no as much fun in my opinion.
