It’s truly amazing how many games (and how many seem pretty pointless) there were for the Game Boy. The Game Boy was actually introduced on this day in 1989. Despite its black and white nature and the horrible motion blur of action games, it was immensely popular. Square Deal, probably not so much.

Square Deal is a weird game that seem to be a combination of Poker, Tetris, and Solitaire. Cards fall from the top (like Tetris) and you can only make them disappear by making various Poker hands. The object is to eliminate all 52 cards.

I can’t imagine that this was a very popular game and the only review I found of it was pretty bad. However, it doesn’t seem to be especially rare so there’s no value there either. There seem to be many, many games for the Game Boy that fall into this category.

If you are looking for a Poker or casino style game for the Game Boy then this is not the game you are looking for. Move along…
