    Sadly, I recently learned that the Brevard Renaissance Fair will no longer be in Brevard County. Supposedly, it will still be nearby (and a 15 year lease on the location has already been signed) but exactly where has not been announced yet. Apparently the City/County/renfair couldn’t come to an agreement on the location it was held at in 2025 (or any other). It sounds like the City wanted engineering drawings for a castle-like structure that was built and the renfair wasn’t willing to pay the money that was going to cost (something like $100k) unless they could get a long term lease which the city was unwilling to provide. At least that’s my interpretation from the various news stories and accusations, lol.

    MegaCon 2012: Emerald Rose (13) – Donald McGillivray

    Emerald Rose performs ‘Donald McGillivray’ at MegaCon 2012 in Orlando, Florida.

    Emerald Rose was a Celtic folk/rock band that played both original and traditional Celtic themed music as well as original sci-fi and fantasy inspired music. They were formed in 1995 and disbanded in 2018. As far as I know, you’ll have to search eBay or other places for used physical media as I don’t think it is still available new anywhere.     This video was recorded by me at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida on February 18th, 2012. A live version of this song first appeared on their 2002 album, Fire in the Head.
