  • Disney MGM Studios (2004-06-04) – Disney Junior Live on Stage

    At Disney MGM (now Hollywood Studios) in Orlando, Florida. Some video I took while watching a live showing of Bear in the Big Blue House in 2004 (also Roly Poly Olie and Winnie the Pooh). I think the show was called something like “Disney Junior Live on Stage” but I could be misremembering.

    This video was once hosted on utube but that account was shut down years ago. However, I did download all my content at some point so here are the comments, just for fun:

  • Star Wars Weekends: Jake Lloyd, Matthew Wood and Warwick Davis (2006 05 27)

    Panel with Jake Lloyd and Matthew Wood hosted by Warwick Davis at Star Wars Weekends 2006 at Disney MGM (now Hollywood Studios).

    Warwick Davis always made a great host. The Stormtroopers were always there before the show started to entertain the crowd. It was just a recording that played but they had Stormtroopers, I believe from the 501st Legion, to act it out. I don’t think they really ever changed it up but it was still pretty funny. Then of course there was the main event with Jake Lloyd (Anakin) and Matthew Wood who’s main role is as a sound editor but also has done voice acting and played various small roles in the prequel trilogy.

    I really miss Star Wars Weekends and wish they would bring it back. I might even buy Disney tickets again…

  • Disney MGM: Lights, Motors, Action!® Extreme Stunt Show (2006 05 20)

    The stunt show at Disney MGM (now Hollywood Studios) in Orlando, Florida.

    This show was designed to show what it was like to film movie scene involving stunts, in this case featuring cars, motorcycles and physical stunts as well. The show opened for the first time on May 5th, 2006 so it was only a couple of weeks old when this was recorded. When the stunt arena was built, it cut the Studio Backlot Tour (which has been replaced now as well) nearly in half. The stunt show ran until 2016 when it was replaced to make room for Galaxy’s Edge and Toy Story Land.
