        Lord of Deeping and Blisworth, he represented the county ofNorthampton in seven Parliaments between 1299 and 1313. In 1313he received a pardon from Edward II as a follower of Thomas,Earl of Lancaster, after the death of Piers Gaveston, the King'sfavorite.
