Cecil Turberville (female) was heiress in her own right and she owned 'The Ham' - the large mansion in which the NICHOLL family lived until after my father was born (written by Mary Nicholl). It is now burnt to the ground. Cecil's parents were married when very young. Linially descended from Sir Payne de Turberville of Coity Castle - one of FitzHamond's knights. The Tuberville family are descended from JESTYN ap GURGANT - Prince of Glamorgan - founder of the very royal tribe of South Wales. CHILDREN:- John Nicholl - He married Katherine Seys of Caerleon, Monmouthshire, She was the daughter of the second son of Roger Seys, of Boverton, who was Attorney General of Wales during the reign of Elizabeth the First. Iltyd Nicholl - Was a surgeon and is ancestor of Nicholl's of The Ham and has brances of the family at Merthyr Mowr(Town) - Penlline(Town) and Dimlands(Mansion) S.Wales.
