        Note:
"The Gemmingen-Massenbach Archives" (GMArchives) were first assembled with the aid of his brother Ludwig (1843-99), Herald-Extraordinary to the Royal House of Bavaria, by Karl Gemmingen von Massenbach, 15th Baron Massenbach in the H.R. Empire, etc. (1831-1912), as part of material gathered for the writing of a Massenbach family History which he financed and had written by his 2nd cousin Hermann Gemmingen von Massenbach, 5th Baron Massenbach in the Kingdoms of Bavaria & Wuerttemberg (1852-1908).
Inherited by his nephew Max, the 16th Baron (1873-1963), they were in turn inherited by his grandson Peter Gemmingen von Massenbach, the 17th Baron, who expanded their coverage considerably.

Covering more than 800 years of the recorded history of a family often at the heart of European affairs, the "GMArchives" embrace also much history and genealogy of wives married into the Gemmingen-Massenbach family. Though remaining in private family possession, they have been made available on an exclusive basis to TMC Families.
