And in those cases, Americans should just cede their rights.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI do think there are certain times we should infringe on your freedom,\u201d Mr. Bloomberg said, during an appearance on NBC. He made the statement during discussion of his soda ban \u2014 just shot down by the courts \u2014 and insistence that his fight to control sugary drink portion sizes in the city would go forth.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe think the judge was just clearly wrong on this,\u201d he said, on NBC. \u201cOur Department of Health has the legal ability to do this. \u2026 [They\u2019re] not banning anything.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Bloomberg\u2019s remaining months in office have included a firestorm of regulations and policy pushes on wide range of issues.
