This is the first monster of the week episode in Season 7. It features a genetic mutant of sorts who has irresistible cravings for human brain matter.
The unique aspect of this episode is that the “monster” is portrayed somewhat sympathetically. He attempts to control his appetite by going to over eater’s anonymous meetings and using appetite suppressants and he at least sometimes kills those who are not so nice people. This episode is told more from his point of view so you see a little less of Mulder and Scully than you normally would in this type of episode.
Overall, I would give this episode 3.5/5 stars. The story and supporting cast are only average but the execution and unique point of view push it up a little.
