ACE, which is short for Advanced Computer Entertainment, is a gaming magazine that was published in the U.K. in the late 1980s and early 1990s. The systems it covered changed over the years and in 1989 it was covering a pretty broad range of systems including the Atari ST, Amiga, Commodore 64, CPC, Spectrum, PC, NES and Sega. The November 1989 issue includes:

  • The Secret’s Out – A U.K. version of the PC Engine gets released though it is basically an unofficial mod.
  • Red Hot Tape – Very briefly…for about 5 seconds…interactive video tape was a technology that competed with CD Interactive and other multimedia formats.
