Popular Computing Weekly (March 20-26, 1986)

Source: Popular Computing Weekly – March 20-26, 1986

Popular Computing Weekly is a magazine that was published weekly in the U.K. Weekly! I am not aware of any computer magazines being published that often in the U.S. at that time. That would have been pretty neat, especialy at less than $1. Of course, I believe this was cheaper newspaper vs. glossy magazine stock but still…

The issue of the week of March 20-26, 1986 includes:

  • News – Olivetti shuns Acorn in educational drive
  • Competition – Design a picture and win a graphics tablet
  • Graphics – The Future – David Lawrence looks at developments in computer graphics
  • Graphics – The Hardware – The best way of getting your ideas to the TV screen
  • Spectrum – Shoot Out! Blast the baddies but watch out for the Cactus
  • Amstrad – Myriad colors using interlacing – we show you how
  • QL – Art – create your own designs
  • BBC – Compress your graphics with this compacting algorithm
  • Letters
  • Communications
  • Commodore 64
  • Adventure
  • Peek and Poke, Rogue Program
  • Charts
  • New Releases, This Week
  • Puzzle, Ziggurat Hackers

…and more!
