  1. Computer Gaming World was the longest running, and for most of its life, the most popular computer gaming specific magazine around. In 1988, there were still many computers around that were not “PC Compatible” (Commodore 64, Amiga, Atari ST, etc.) and while CGW covered these, they always seemed to concentrate more on the PC side of things until eventually that was all that was left.
