I know it's kind of strange to follow up one's own posting, but I thought my further adventures with "Rampage" might be of interest. Fortunately, I didn't have to go back to Activision with my copy of the game. I took it back to the store where I bought it (Electronics Boutique) and explained the situation to the person working there. He took the disk and tried it in one of their demo machines, confirming my results. So he got me another copy. We tried that one before I left the store, and on three out of four tries, it displayed the title screen and then reported a parity error. Electronics Boutique cheerfully refunded my money, and I'm going to wait until a future release of the game. -- Pete Granger ...!{decvax,ulowell,ima,ism780c}!cg-atla!granger "Why do you always serve venison and fish on Valentine's day?"
