In the referenced article there was a request that more programs use the
clipboard. Be great. Unfortunately the clipboard is a bit of a pain to put
into a program. If it was accesible as a device things would be much better.
You could use your existing IFF read-write code to immediately use the clip.

Commodore: Well, you already did SPEAK:. Personally, I think CLIP: is a bit
more important. How about it?

Everyone who says "Why not use RAM: files?" (myself included): The clipboard
has one nice feature that RAM: files don't have. According to the docs when
memory gets low it will automatically save itself in devs:clipboards and free
up memory. At least that's what it sounds like to me.
