A short testimonial on clown plecos...

I purchased a small (3") clown pleco a week and a half ago. He/she didn't
do much of anything for three full days (probably due to the stress of being
chased around the dealers tank for 3-4 minutes). On the fourth day I awoke
and there was *no* algae. I mean *none*, zippo! The entire tank (29 gal.)
was spotless. Glass clean, heater clean, filter intake tubes clean, rocks
clean, plants clean, gravel completely covered with fish waste (oh well).

I really like this ugly little fellow so to keep him from starving I've been
(gulp) *encouraging* the growth of algae. No can do. Tank remains spotless.
I've never liked a fish so much!
