I bought mine about two months ago and have been pleased as h*ll with it. It actually seems more reliable on noisy lines than my old Hayes 1200, but that could be a misperception from lack of sufficient data. I wouldn't go back to the Hayes on a bet. The only negative I can think of is that the modem is so light that it feels insubstantial and I worry about damaging it if it gets bumped or jostled.
