Sorry, but our mailer's forwarding not only isn't unique, it's rcf822 standard. It's also the most commonly used mailer on bitnet. What's maybe confusing is: 1) everyone on bitnet/arpa/milnet/edu/Janet etc. DID get the header identifying the message as "Resent-From: Larry Virden;" apparently only USENET got it without proper headers; what's "unique" (or at least not rcf822 standard) is the newslist's software's handling of resent headers (it ignored them and took the original "From:" - I suppose newslist doesn't recognize "Reply-to" or "Sender" either; probably programmed by the same person that writes mailer- daemons). 2) You posted your comment on Wednesday, but it didn't reach the Internet until Friday afternoon, and you didn't include any of the resent post in your message, soooo...
