What tools do I need to find in order to do this? My UNIX machine is an SGI IRIS 4D/60T running V.3 with 4.3 networking, my mac is a II. I could get a serial cable and connect the mac to the IRIS, but then what software do I run on each side? I can get an ethernet card for the mac (loaner, not pay the $1000) and maybe get the NCSA FTP to xfer files, would that be easier ?? Please mail responses to me and I'll summarize to the net (if anyone cares about the summary) Thanks in advace, -- "The programmer, like the poet, works only slightly removed from pure thought- stuff.
