I recently obtained an object oriented figure editor for
Sun workstations called FIG. I believe it was pulled off of comp.sources
and presumably can be obtained there. FIG was written as a course project by
Supoj Sutanthavibul (supoj@sally.UTEXAS.EDU) at the University of Texas
at Austin in 1985. The package allows lines, polylines, splines, rectangles,
and text to be created and edited.

Unfortunately, it has a few limitations such as fixed font text, fixed drawing
area (ie no zoom or pan), and only one line width. Before I begin hacking
at it I would like to know if anyone else (like the original author) has
enhanced the package. If you have modified a copy or know of someone
who has please let me know, preferably by email. I will post any
interesting results.
