You attribute a quality to mankind, as a whole, which I think is 
erroneous. I attest that the vast majority of mankind are not primarily
concerned with making more money-- as you suggest.

Regardless of one's opinion on the matter of mankind's primary goal,
this in now way introduces any form of inconsistancy that I can see. 
Perhaps, you can shed some light on the matter for me.
