Suckermouth Catfish (Plecostomus punctatus) : This fish grows to about 6" in home aquariums. It is an excellent consumer of algae, browsing from rocks and aquarium glass. Prefers medium-hard water. 2. Golden Otocinclus (Otocinclus affinis) : This one grows yo about 1.6". Mainly active at night . During this time it browses algae, keeping the tank clean. They not nice to look at, but hey , they do the job.
