Hi. I am thinking of writing a shell that replaces command.com (Why?
because I am sick of the stupidities of command.com and want a shell
that is tailored to my tastes). One thing I can't figure out is how
command.com keeps the environment. Where does it put the environment
strings and how does a program running off command.com finds it.

Any help will be greatly appreciated. I know there are a lot of IBM
PC experts out there. I have tried asking several people I know without
results. Please reply by mail because it is finals week and I won't
probably be catghing up with net news.

Thanks!
