I want to put together an external SCSI drive for a Mac Plus computer.
Right now it seems that I would need the following: a case with a
power supply, interface cable between the drive and the computer,
and formatter-driver software. What would be the best place to get
the hardware?

Regarding the software: Can I use the software provided by any of
the drive vendors? If not, what is different about the different
drives? If there is no standard software available, how would I
go about implementing it myself?

I work with UNIX internals, and know a fair deal about SCSI and
SCSI drives.

I would appreciate any help.

Please e-mail your responses to me, and I will post a summary if
there is interest.
