I am using the TPU editor on a microVax II running VMS 4.5.
Supposedly, one is able to spawn to another process using the
"SPAWN" command.

However, when I do this I receive a "subprocess could not be created"
msg. I've tried setting the subprocess quota up from 2 to 4, but that
did not work. Any ideas? Is the correct parameter to change the number
of allowable detached processes? How does a "detached" process differ
from a "sub" process?

Could it be: One SPAWNs into a subprocess,
but QUEUEs a detached process (eg batch file).

If indeed this is the correct parameter to switch, how do I get at it?
I've hacked all over and can't seem to find a way to change it.

Any comments will be most appreciated.

Thanks.

P.S. - I guess that should have read "Micro VMS".
