Indeed you are right.  "forw -help" tells me the same thing.  It's not
in the man page either.  Nonetheless, "forw -file " does work.  

There's an old wives tale that says it's aerodynamically impossible for
bees to fly.  What they don't know...eh?

syntax: forw [+folder] [msgs] [switches]
  switches are:
