I've been working on such a beast off and on for the last couple of
months - there are a couple remaining bugs with the unix main() not
being reentrant and with LSC's fopen() wanting to work off of only the
root directory of a file system (I need to patch in someone's find the
full filename subroutines so fopen() and unlink() will work correctly).

It should be out soon - regular mac interface, 12-bit
compression/decompression, does optional text file format conversion
(\r to \n). I compress newsgroup dumps and download them to my mac
daily.

And, of course,
