I am interested in using the Motorola MC145026 remote control encoder and
the associated decoders to build a short-distance wireless link.

The Motorola chips in question only take care of parallel/serial conversion,
addressing, and error detection. The actual link, be it RF, IR, or
ultrasonic, must be added.

Does anyone out there have some experience with this chip set? What links
have you tried, and how well did they work? How about magazine articles
on this subject?

Thanks.
