Well, if you consider factors such as software librairies,
communications, service, support, financial stability and other
business issues to be important to "performance", then it just
may be that VAXen have a good price/performance ratio.  

But I don't concede that they do (or don't)!  After all, DEC doesn't
pay my salary :-) and I don't endorse products for free unless I have
a significant investment in them :-) * 10!
