I have been experiencing interaction problems when using a EVEREX EDGE
display board with a SAMSUNG monochrome monitor. I am using these products
in an IBM/XT PC compatible. The problem (bright glitches on screen) ocurrs
when the EVEREX board is strapped to boot up in color mode. After several
boots, the glitch eventually blows the monitor. I returned the display
board and monitor for replacements and experienced the same problems with
new equipment. I have checked and rechecked all straps on the display
board to insure that they were correct. One interesting note is that with
the board strapped to boot in monochrome mode, I am able to switch to
color mode by software without any problems. I contacted EVEREX to inquire
about any known problems in using the EDGE with a SAMSUNG monitor. They
said that there are no known problems when using the two together.

Additional notes: I have installed a V20 processor to increase speed and
operate in the TURBO mode (8 MHZ).

If anyone else has experienced similiar problems or may have any
information on this problem please contact me.
