I clipped an ad from Electronic Engineering Times for such an assembler; it's not public domain (which the original poster wanted--sorry!) but it does have 20 different processors all in one program, including Z8, Z80, 8096, 8048, 6502--all the common ones. The ad claims "Generates Intel hex, Motorola-S and binary output". Cost is $299 for the ST or Mac, or $199 for the PC. An asterisk by the ST listing leads to the note "Includes EDITOR and Communications Software with C source code". Does this mean that they did the development work on an ST?
