Various reference guides mention that Timer A in the 68901 is available for user
applications, and is thus left alone by the system. Great, just what I need. For
the life of me, I cannot find any references stating the rate at which the timer
clocks. There is a 2.??MHz Xtal and a 4MHz clock input to the device. I was told
that an application can use a 1 mS timer but this doesn't seem to be of much use
to me, since I need to resolve down towards microsecond precision.

Anyone out there in netland know the answer.
