Although there are surely people out there that know the Phoenix area
better than I, you'd find some nice birds along the Verde River northeast
(I think) of town.  Also south of town, in low, arid, Atriplex look out
for LeConte's Thrasher, and also Bendire's Thrasher.  LeConte's Thrasher
is (I think) one of the toughest "regular" N. A. birds to find.  A tape
would help.  Good luck, and post your results, s.v.p.
