I'm not familiar with the unix functions, but turbo c has two library
functions called findfirst and findnext which are probably functionally
equivalent.  I have written Microsoft and IBM equivalents which probably
would compile under any C compiler with int86x and segread functions.

If you care to see an example using these functions, I recently wrote
a recursive directory script generator to create kermit take files to
kermit entire disks or tree structures from ms-dos, which uses these
functions and compiles under all the C compilers I have.  Please write
to me at the address in my signiture as that is the system I keep the
files on.
