Can I stop worrying? Xref: utgpu unix-pc.general:53 junk:6506 In reference to the UNIX-PC cooling fan failures, when was the automatic shutdown added? Has anyone ever had it happen? I mean, has anyone had a fan failure or a system temperature problem (fan obstructed, too slow, etc.) and actually had the automatic system shutdown take effect? I'd be a little less nervous if I had proof of this. I'm also wondering about general system reliability. I would expect that if a catastrophic failure occurred, the cost to fix the unit would be more in line with its original ~$8000 price... G. Mark ("is-it-hot-in-here-or-is-it-just-PC?")
