This is a major problem.. Apple is being very reluctant in sending out
documents about writing Print Drivers. I've spoken with 2 people at Apple,
both of wish assured me that they would send me a copy of the technotes on
this subject, and they never did.
  
Many companies argue that if they use anything other than Apple's Print
Manager, they will not be "using the standards." I say, offer a choice to the
customer. Offer a choice on the menu bar for either the STANDARD set of
printers or the custom set.. That would make everyone happy.
