C-Power and Power C are different names for the same product. Perhaps you
meant Super-C (Abacus) vs. Power C (Spinnaker), instead. I've used Power C, in
its C-128 incarnation, and it's decent. The editor is nice (full screen,
multiple buffers altho not multiple windows). The programming environment
works well with multiple disk drives, e.g. put your command files on one
drive, your programming disk in another drive, issue a few commands, and
presto, you're all set. On the minus side, linking in the "C" library takes
FOREVER (I guess I'm just spoiled by Unix), and the object files that it
produces are real porkers.
I've never used Super-C. But I've used Abacus products in the past (their
BASIC compilers for C-64 and C-128, and their Pascal compiler for the 64), and
found them to be slow, bug-riddled, and completely unsatisfying (version 1.0,
at least -- I don't know if they ever issue updates to later versions). I have
no intention of touching Super-C, especially since I got my Power C for $35.
