This is my first posting, so please bear with me... I am trying to add the equivalent of a RS232 pack to my CoCo3. What I was planning to do was put two 6551 chips (for two ports) into my multipak. I have the addressing pretty well figured out so that one port will emulate the original 232 pack. My question is, what lines from the 6551 are extended to the port, and what buffering do they undergo getting there. I have asked Radio Shack, but the staff at the local stores, including the repair center, didn't really understand what I needed. Why isn't the newsgroup comp.os.os9 used more?
