Lines: 15 Keywords: my skewed perspective Alright, alright. I've spent the better part of the morning scraping the cinders off of my ~/mbox. The idea of having extra ram to implement /dev/swap is a silly one! Sheesh! It's enough to make me get a crystal and start posting to talk.religion.newage :-). So, wizards, why have a /dev/swap at all? Why can't I just add ten megabytes to the system and eliminate this waste of disk space? Is /dev/swap an idea whose time has passed? What happens to my sticky bit programs? { Robert White } -- //////////////////286 Moderator -- comp.unix.microport\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ Email to microport@uwspan for info on the newsgroup comp.unix.microport. otherwise mail to microport@uwspan with a Subject containing one of: 386 286 Bug Source Merge or "Send Buglist" (rutgers!uwvax!uwspan!microport)
