Lines: 20 Hypercard is said to use a very good method of compression images. Does anyone know details on this? - Does it work on bit-map images only? MacDraw-style pictures? Mac II color images? - How much does it compress the image? This may vary depending on whether we're talking about a simple pie chart or a digitized photograph. - What exactly is the algorithm? I'm interested in this from a general data compression viewpoint, not so much the way it's used in HyperCard. Thanks in advance. You should probably mail to me rather than post. I'll post a summary (provided local news software is working that week...) Radford Neal The University of Calgry
