Based on dealings with AE, I was confident in their ability to design a quality product. On this basis, I went ahead and ordered one around the middle of August. From talking to the salesperson on the phone, I understood that I was one of the first peopleto actually order it. So, I have been guaranteed one from the first shipment they put out. The reason behind their delays were that they were being quite picky in finding a chip manufacturer to build the necessary chips to reduce the chip count. They have found one now, and the initial shipment will be in December, in time for Christmas. The others after that, however, will probably have to wait. As far as specifications go, the board comes with an installation kit, dependingon whether you have a GS, //e, or //+. The only thing needed for the GS (which I have) is a $50 cable set. For the //+, you'd need a keyboard. The one thing I would like to find out is how the mouse interface will work. I know it will accept the apple mouse input, but I'm curious as to whether they will design drivers for it for things like Autocad, or if they will just convert the input to PC-Mouse compatible or something. ~rAs far as software goes, I know they have tested it with Lotus and Microsoft products, but thats the extent, and as far as speed goes, I won't have any idea until it comes, at which time, I'll put something on the net. If you need any more information, just let me know. -Todd
