I need some information and wonder if I might pick the collective brains and libraries of the readers of this newsgroup. I need a technical description of SMPTE time code as it applies to video, not film. (ie. timing, levels, etc.) Second I wonder if anyone has a tech manual describing the interface to the SONY CONTROL-S and CONTROL-T jacks on their recorders with flying erase heads. What I'm looking for is an electrical and software description for the editor controller jacks on the machines. I recently looked at some single frame controllers for the IBM pc and a sony bvu 5850. The performance was excellent but the price was outrageous. So I'm trying to duplicate some of the features on a smaller scale as a add in anamation board for the PC. Please e-mail if possible. If you tell me about a manual I would appreciate it if you would include catalog numbers, addresses and phone numbers of the publishers if possible. Thanks in advance. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Leo A. Hejza AT&T: (408)433-1000 x1351 WYSE Technology inc. UUCP: leo@bigboy 3571 N.
