call ariel in new york. the number is (212) 925-4155. ariel right now
has the first run pc boards of a 16 bit a/d/a that interfaces directly
with the motorola DSP56000ADS (the applications development
system--$3000 (uses the pc now, mac II version available in march,1988 or
sooner)) for the motorola DSP56001 chip. i don't know the price of
the ariel board.

the ariel board is a dual input 16 bit a/d. it has a provision for a
separate power supply so you don't use the pc or mac's power and you can get
a real 16 bit a/d. the ariel board also has circuitry on it so you
can interface your compact disk directly to the board. i understand
the sampling rate of the ariel board is 50KHz. the guy who runs ariel
is tony. i think the ariel board will be available sometime in january,
1988.
