This is not so much a bug as a very irritating part of the source code.
UMORIA has many predefined constants for various things, such
as INVEN_WIELD, which would be extremely useful, except that
THEY ARE NEVER USED.  For instance, whenever INVEN_WIELD
should be used, the number 22 is used instead. This defeats the 
whole purpose of having constants.

I have been modifying the game at the requests of its major users
 on our system, and this has caused me sufficient trouble to ask
that, in the next release of a patch or a new version of UMORIA,
please replace the "magic numbers" in the code by the proper
constant name.
