The _Apple II User's Guide:Second Edition_ is for Apple II+ and IIe. It was
written by Lon Poole, Martin McNiff, and Steven Cook, and published by
Osborne/McGraw-Hill in 1983. ISBN 0-88134-104-5. (1st edition was published
a few years earlier).

I don't know if it's still available. If it is, it might be a good place to
start.

In case you want to run AppleWorks, and aren't already setup to do so,
PLUS-WORKS-][ (Norwich Data Services, Ltd., PO Box 356, East Norwich NY
11732-0356. tel: 516-922-9584 and 201-679-0594) lets you do it on a ][+
if you have one of a wide range of 80 column cards and one of an
equally wide range of ramcards (with the minimum being RAM expansion
thru a 16K card in slot 0). {It also allows ][e owners to users that
wide array of cards for AppleWorks, thus expanding desktop}.
