I purchased an IBM 3.5" drive for installation in an IBM-AT. After completing the hardware and software installation and running Setup I ended up with a disk drive that will read from and write to a 3.5" floppy but will not format the disks. I get a Track 0 unreadable - disk unusable error. Luckily I am able to format the disks on a Toshiba T1000 and then use them in the IBM-AT. Any ideas? BTW I got two responses to my last request for assistance in getting a DS/DD drive operating in another AT and with these I was able to get the drive working.
