Woelz) Distribution: na Organization: GENROCO, Inc., Slinger, WI Lines: 22 For the past several patch levels of the B news software, I have been having a problem with the inability of the make process to find logdir.o for several modules. I do not define LOGDIR in my defs.h file as I do not have a logdir system call available on my system. However, make breaks and tells me it cannot find logdir.o first referenced in ifuncs.o. I have spent some time trying to find out why this happens but I am not a C guru and ended up just patching my Makefile by defining LIBS = logdir.o for my system. I am running System V Release 2 on an nsc32000 based system. Can anyone out there give me a clue as to why this is happening? Is this a real bug or is it just something weird with my machine or the way I am building the software? Hoping to hear from you. -- Don Woelz {ames, rutgers, harvard}!uwvax!uwmcsd1!grc!don GENROCO, Inc. Phone: 414-644-8700 205 Kettle Moraine Drive North Fax: 414-644-6667 Slinger, WI 53086 Telex: 6717062
