However, the re-posted versions were ok. then, while removing the headers, i accidentally removed the beginning line of the tar file without knowing it (oh well, it happens). Anyways, i put them together, decoded it, (getting many "permission denied" errors, until i created a forth.tar.Z file and permitted it write to others & group), uncompressed it (with no problems....) and untarred it. It works. I added a couple of numbers, tried a couple of colon definitions, and not much else yet. Anyone out there have any fairly simple programs they could E-mail me, just so i could test it out?
