I was playing with the cache today, switching it off to run hypercard for
scripting. After using HyperCard for a while, I switched the cache back on,
and run another application. When I exited to the finder, the return was as
swift as if the cache was ACTUALLY running. I checked free memory, and it
was lower by the cache setting.. This is REPEATABLE, over and over again.

Does anyone know whether this is just spooky or is a feature of System 4.2?

Thanks in advance,
