As long as we are talking about links ...

I would like to be able to protect each name of a file separately.
Then I can have "use" links with read-only protection, and "create"
links with write protection. Handy when I have a .o I want to re-use.

This is easy to get with the clone-the-header kind of link; how would
you do it with the clever kind?
