About two months ago I queried ByteWorks (make of APW shell and Orca Pascal)
about their plans (if any) of entering the GS 'C' compiler arena. I have
been most impressed with the quality of their software and support. The
response to my question was that they have no plans for a C compiler. If I
understood the explanation, it was that they had looked at APW C and, although
it has some problems, it was a fairly good implementation. The main area
that needed cleaned up was some of APW C libraries. I am not sure I agree.

Although I have APW C (and other Pascal compilers), I find I stay with
Orca Pascal and assembly language. My overall impression is that APW C is
nothing more than a good heuristic.

Does anyone care to comment on my impression?
