I think that the recently posted
	kmpfix.c -- Utility for Gulam

that was posted  1987 12 13  with the subject line

	"v00i049:  mwc:all: GULAMFIX - keyboard mod program for gulam shell"

solves these problems.
It was written by Prabhaker Mateti, the author of Gulam.
