Message-ID: <196@vuecon.econ.vu.nl> Date: 1 Dec 87 08:12:40 GMT Organization: VU Economics, Amsterdam, the Netherlands Lines: 15 Keywords: NEC-V20,8 Mhz I own a Taiwan made Supercom IBM clone and I have replaced the 8088-2 cpu by a NEC-V20-8 cpu. I used to set the 8088 to turbo by pressing CTRL - ALT - [+] (num) If I do this now the computer hangs within a minute. Now I have a tiny program from BYTE (april '87) to do that in soft- ware but the cpu returns to 4.77 Mhz whenever I use the floppy-drive. 1. How can I get the cpu 'permanently' to 8Mhz 2. WHAT IS GOING ON ???!!!??? Anton Bakkum (Silicon Instinct) at VU-Economie ( Free University of Amsterdam School of Business Administration )
