Common Sense doesn't support 80 columns. I guess that discredits the title. For vt52-64, try typing CTRL-8. CTRL-4 switches back to 40 columns. > I have been using > the "vt100-128" to communicate with the Vaxen here, but I have not been able > to use "vi", apparently "vt100-128" does not completely emulates the vt100. I assume you explicitly inform the VAX that you have a vt100, rather than using either qterm or VMS's SET TERM/INQUIRE. But if you do, VT100-128 won't respond correctly to the inquiry. At least my copy doesn't.... > Is there a public domain terminal emulator that will work in the C128 80 column > mode with "vi"? Could someone send a copy to me? I am sure Dr Evil Labs would be glad to help you to a PD copy of kermit-65 for the C-64. Finally, you might have a bad copy of VT100-128. The copy that came with my 1670 was also buggy, and I even posted here about it a year ago. I am using a friend's copy that he got from his 1670, but that too has some bugs. Doesn't ANYBODY have a bug-free version of VT100-128? Is it legal for us to exchange copies of this software that we're supposed to have anyway?
