All went fine except one minor annoyance. We have a file called Local that we pass along to pathalias which defines paths local to our site and not to be made public. In this file I have a line which redefines the BITNET gateway. With the previous set of maps everything worked fine. For some reason unknown to me the redefinition of the BITNET gateway no longer works! # # These are local definitions that are not to be broadcast # to the USENET world # # Dan Trottier 08/27/87 (Local) # # [ info deleted ] # BITNET GATEWAY xxxxx .bitnet [ info deleted ] ----- This is the site that is becoming the BITNET forwarder instead of site xxxxx. Our BITNET forwarder is not far away and the link is *faster* than the one to super.super.org. Is there a change I can make to our Local file that will in fact fix the problem? dan -- A.I. - is a three toed sloth! | ...!uunet!mnetor!maccs!dan -- Official scrabble players dictionary -- | dan@mcmaster.BITNET
