Lines: 15 Summary: Different types of question should be posted to .questions and .wizards Keywords: ROUTINE COMPLAINT ----------------- As suggested by their titles, the comp.unix.questions and comp.unix.wizards newsgroups are intended to handle different types of question. Please can contributors stop cross-posting to both. It's not necessary because most people read both (or neither), so your simple question will be seen and perhaps answered by the wizards even if you only post to .questions. As a rough guideline, may I suggest that questions about the shell commands (e.g "PS1 and current directory", etc.) and routine stuff about system calls go to .questions, and that .wizards be reserved for deeper enquiries about the kernel internals? ------------------- Charles Lambert; ukc!datlog!dlhpedg!cl
