All well and good.

The "friendly" badteria that convert waste to inorganic compounds
are aerobic (low impact or otherwise :-).

Anaerobic bacteria are the nasty little buggers that foul the tank,
make black spots, and produce hydrogen sulphide. Ick, yuk, ptui!
