There is a bug in (graphics.library/intuition/MrgCop/Who knows), that will show up if you do/have the following: - PAL Amiga 1000 - Open a screen with a width of at least 640+32 pixels, a depth of 4 bitplanes a height of more than 213 non-interlaced lines. - Now, anything below the 213th line on your screen won't be visible on your monitor. It is covered by a color-0 border, but your screen is really as large as you wanted. You just don't see it. When you drag the title bar of the screen below the 213 border, suddenly you do see something there: your title bar. - Remove any of the above stated requirements, and the bug won't show up. Another bug, possibly related: Again, required is a PAL Amiga 1000. Move the mouse pointer below the (approx.) 213th line, then move it horizontally to the left and/or to the right. Not too slowly, please. You might notice that you see TWO pointers, close to each other. When you stop moving, there is only only one pointer, as usual. Now for the next phase. Fire up Workbench [I guess you didn't do that already], select any object, and ask Info about it. Now click outside of the info window, but inside a Workbench window. The Zzz cloud should now appear, as usual. But now - do it again below the 213th line ... and you REALLY have TWO pointers!!! The old arrow, which is frozen to the screen, and the cloud, which you can move!! This seems to be a hardware bug, just like the one that all sprites below some line on the screen (line 213??) all get the colors of sprite 0. (Note that I have not verified this myself). I asked someone with a 500 to try the same thing, and he told me he did not get the effect I described here, but again, I have not verified this myself. So, any hardware type from Commodore wants to comment on this? Thanx! --- The opinions possibly reflected herein are my own, and not necessarily those of someone else I might be connected with.
