The method used by crooks in the NYC subways was to simply stuff a wad of paper up the coin return and just make rounds emptying the change that would get stuck. Perhaps not as profitable per phone, but you can cover a lot of phones quickly this way and NYC will even provide the transportation for a mere $1. -B
