In the episode with Spock's father
Spock's pet is mentioned. It comes out in casual conversation
between Kirk, McCoy and Amanada (Spock's human mother)
that Spock had a "teddy bear" when he was younger. Spock walks
over, and seeing McCoy`s obviously impish grin, says something
to the effect of "yes, but on Vulcan, teddy bears are 7 feet
tall and have VERY sharp claws". The pet was called, I believe, a
"Sheelat."

Also, adding to the long gone list of Bones cries of dismay,
in "Friday's Child" (Cappellans, Klingons, and pregnant woman),
McCoy is helping the pregnant woman up a steep slope:
"Damnit Jim, I'm a doctor, not an escalator"
