I have this vision of a Fourth of July picnic: three-compartment
plates holding corn on the cob, coleslaw, baked beans, dinner rolls
with a thin dusting of flour over the delicate brown crust, and a large
mound of barbequed beef, the beef tender beyond description, swimming
in a sauce that brings grateful tears to a hungry man's eyes.

Well, I need a recipe for the barbeque beef. The last time I had the
stuff that comes anywhere close to what I want was at a Masonic picnic
in southern Maryland and that was over fifteen years ago. I would
greatly appreciate a recipe.

Thanking you in advance,

Peter Benson
