Message-ID: <94@wateng.UUCP> Date: Mon, 20-Jun-83 08:54:42 EDT Article-I.D.: wateng.94 Posted: Mon Jun 20 08:54:42 1983 Date-Received: Tue, 21-Jun-83 02:29:27 EDT Organization: U of Waterloo, Ontario Lines: 16 I posted the "cifstr" announcement the other day. I received several questions about an automatic extension to CIF. I suggest the following: User Code 8: text 8 [-s scale] [-o x,y] [-l layer] "string" ; -s scale scale the 16(vertical) by 8(hor) characters. -o x,y origin of string to be x,y -l layer set layer "string" alphanumeric string to be drawn. If you use this convention, I have a handy little program called cifstrip that will expand and replace all the stuff. It also breaks things down, recenters symbols, and generally massages CIF into a form so loved by Queens VLSIIC. A notice will be posted when source is available. Patrick Powell, U.
