Amen!  I decided a few months back that if I ever sell software, I want to
include a statement that if you want to copy this software you should send
me $X to be legal and ethical (and also to get support and bugfixes).  Does
anybody out there think that this would actually reduce software piracy by
a significant amount?  I'm assuming that X is about the same amount that I'd
get from a computer store or other outlet, if it were sold in the usual way
(say, 50% of list price).
