My '69 Bug has, for the most part, been a fine and faithful friend.
(Yes, there is a LOT to be said for driving a clunker.) However,
the body is in rough shape. The back fenders might best be described
as "lacy". That is, only minor dents, but a lot of rust.

What are my alternatives. I did do some work with fiberglass and
epoxy resin some years ago (different car), and was pleased and surprised
at how simple and effective a process it was. I've seen complete
sections for sale in fiberglass, but it looks as if that route might
cost as much as I paid for the Bug. Might it be worth it? The
car seems, given the attentions of a mechanically gifted friend of mine,
to have quite a few miles left in it.
