The old engine was 400 cubes and I intend to replace it with the same one ( 17 miles to the gallon is nothing to sneeze at with this engine ). My question is this, has anyone out there done such a replacement? Any tips on where in the Chicago area one can (1) rent the derrick to pull the engine? (2) get a reasonably priced totally rebuilt engine? I have some help from one guy that tore down his car and from an almost licensed mechanic. Other than locking up the beer supply until the engine replacement is done, does anyone have any tips? Chuck Young at ihuxi!cjy
