I've noticed that the children of our "white-collar" friends tend to call
adults by their first names, while the children of our "blue-collar" friends
tend to use the titles "Mr." and "Mrs." when talking to adults. Is etiquette
related to socioeconomic class, or is there a change in values taking place?
Is it still disrespectful today for children to call adults by their first
names? Well, fellow Netlanders, what's your experience?
