We all know that Jimi Hendrix (with the help of Eddie Kramer [sp])
was one of the first to use stereo for great special effects.
However, I bought an imported version of "Are You Experienced" because
it had a few different tracks and it sounds better if I flick the
ST/MN switch to mono. For this particular pressing the master was cut
with the treble on the right and the bass on the left. There is a little
bit of overlap and some "stereo" effects but overall it is the worst
separation I've ever heard.

Also worthy of contemptable note are those "re-processed for stereo"
catastrophes where an originally mono recording is re-mastered for
stereo which usually means that some reverb or delay was added producing
a terribly unrealistic sound. I'd rather have the oroginal mono masters.
