I surely hope that's not what's in my contact lense fluid.  Most fluids I
know of have methylcellulose as the main ingredient (besides water) and use
EDTA as the preservative (or sometimes benzalkonium chloride).  Tests have
been done in the past bye audio mags, and they all seem to prefer the D4
system (at least for wet ones), and the fluid is not left in the grooves, it
is absorbed out by the Discwasher brush.  I'm happy with mine.
