RE: The BEST Relationships

I think the BEST Relationships are those based on separateness/
independence and real individuality along with being able to make a
personal commitment. These are the foremost things that are instrumental
in establishing a firm foundation for a long term (and satisfying)
relationship.

It is important to be "self-satisfied" (i.e. independent - assuming
responsibility for ones own financial security, physical health, and
emotional wellness). If you're an emotional "reck" how in the **** do
you expect to give emotional support to another? And after establishing
a unique individual identity (apart from others) then and only then can
you be "free" to love another without burdening the time spent together
with strong dependency needs. Then you can spend "quality time" together.

TRUST and ACCEPTANCE of the others separateness is also important
in developing a healthy "interdependence relationship". And add good
communication (being able to assert YOURself and YOUR needs as well as
really listening to the other) are some of the ingredients that make up a
mutually satisfying/rewarding/exciting and hopefully long term relationship.
