As I read them I am reminded of the man in the Petridge Farm (sic) ads. The humor is strange. I think of them as being "Paul Bunyon" type stories, folk tales rather then conventional comics. I enjoyed them and had fun doing my Maine voice when reading them to brother, Broome. I cer- tainly can understand someone else not enjoying them though. My suggest to you all: if you enjoy a tall tale, or a folks story, give it a try. If you are expecting CEREBUS style humor, or typical comic book adventure, I would stay away from it. yet another #1 for the collection, OZ seismo!rlgvax!oz
