This is in response to an earlier item which asked a couple of questions
about the DES.

Question:  .... they say that DES is fast enough such that an 8-bit micro
	can perform it in 100 milliseconds. My question is 100 msec per
	what?

Miles Smid (phone 301-921-3427) tells me: "They probably mean that it
takes 100 milliseconds to encrypt one 64-bit block of data."

Question: ....does anyone know of a C implementation .....

Miles gave me a listing (contact him for a copy) which is titled:-
