The best tubes I have ever used were Amperex tubes. I beleive they are
German made. Amperex tubes will last a very long time, this helps to
ofset their price. Second best are the industrial tube from RCA.
12AX7A is replaced by 7025, 6L6 is replaced by 6550. These substitutions
can be found in a good tube guide. I don't know any good sources anymore,
I've been out of the "tubular audio" scene for some time.
