I read it in one sitting. Found only one plot point that bothered me, that the skinsuits turns out to *not* be real after it seemed that its existance was confirmed (the shower scene). I think that the book succeeds because it deals with an area Varley handles well, the gee whiz arena of strange people and their uniquely motivated attitudes. If you liked Varley's Nine Worlds stuff, give Millenium a read. I liked it. (ron) -------
