I have a basic question with regard to existentialism:
(I believe largely in this philosophy)

Existentialism is based on the basic assumption
that "man" has no purpose in life.
We are here, and there really is'nt a reason.
Each person defines the concept of man.
This is our burden, c'est la vie.

I feel that this assumption leads
to great implications.
For instance, I beleive that because of this,
we should strive for excellence,
in whatever fields of interest we desire.

My question is: does this intuitive feeling of mine
argued logically from the basic assumption of purposelessness (?)?.
