I do disagree with the Clarke vs Heinlein observation. Agreed, Fountains of Paradise is better than Heinlein's recent stuff. However, Heinlein at his best (such as Moon is a Harsh Mistress) is superior to anything penned (or typed, whatever) by Clarke.
