I was in Glen Cove, Long Island, New York, looking approximately North-northwest at the time. I saw a bright, fast-moving light that lasted for about 5 seconds. It flared and burned out at the last second. There was no sound (I waited for about 1/2 min) made. Any comments? Was this a meteorite? Someone testing out his flare gun? Pat Wood mhuxv!mphw
