I'm not disputing that unborn children may be affected by sounds around them.
In fact, I'd be surprised if this were not the case.  What I am skeptical
about is the idea that these children are picking up and recording the
conversations around them.  (This is the Scientology "engram" aspect I
intended to refer to.)  I can believe that the kiddies will kick (out the
jams?) at a rock concert, but I don't think I can swallow the idea that
they're picking up Mommy's prayer for a boy.
