It is absolutely correct for Yigal to criticize injustice in Israel. I am
not a Jew, and hence my reasons for supporting the existence of Israel
come only from my perception that Israel is a just, enlightened, and
democratic land in the middle of a sea of hatred, feudalism and oppression.

Now what I am is of Latvian descent, and what bothers me most about Israel
is the way in which the occupied areas have been administered. It reminds
me all too much of the russification of the Baltic states.

As strong as Israel is, she must be acutely aware that her might comes
from the conviction of her people that their cause is just.
