Since some people object to the phrase "nice guy", please replace
it with "emotionally mature, open-minded person". After all, that's
what we all ( hopefully ) strive to be, and what we look for in others.
Likewise, replace the term "jerk" with "emotionally immature,
close-minded person".

Personally, I find these definitions a bit too windy for my taste, so
I'll stick to "nice guy" and "jerk" as verbal shorthand, they're nice
generic terms.

Definitive enough, I hope, because I am not fool enough to say "nice
guys do this" and "jerks do that", like some Simon Says of the net.
Everybody is going to have their own personal standards, and I respect
that...I'm leaving the details of "niceness" to the individual netter.
So, let us waste no more time on mere semantics, let's get on with REAL
topics of interest to single people.
