I believe you are trying to think of KDKA , which happens to be in Pittsburgh.
It is the only radio station EAST of the Mississippi with a K call.
These rules, by the by, apply to commercial radio and Tv. Amateur radio
operators have W and K calls in all parts of the country. KDKA kept their
K call for historical reasons.
