The Steam Locomotive "Royal Hudson" makes a scenic trip from N.Vancouver BC to Squamish and back 6 days a week (not mondays unless a holiday) all summer. There is a 2 hour stop in Squamish. Cost? Just CDN$10. There is also a boat trip that can form part of the journey-- the way up or the way back. It takes longer (much) and costs more. The scenery there (and farther north up into Garibaldi Provincial Park and Whistler/Blackcomb [skiiing!!!]) is fantaaastic. The people are nice. But you can't buy a keg of beer in Canada?
