Having apologized in the previous message, I have a
comment and question for anyone who would care to
respond. I read an article by Mark R. Horton from
Bell Labs called How to Read the Network News. A quote
from that article reads: "USENET is useful in a number
of ways. Someone wishing to announce a new program or
product can reach a wide audience." This seemed to me
to be a license for commercialism. Is this article
out of date? Is there available a publication along
the lines of "Miss Manners Guide to the Network"?
