The term PIRACY refers to the act of stealing a piece of software (i.e.,
distributing it illegally).  It still remains ILLEGAL to copy any copyrighted
software NO MATTER WHAT THE INTENT, if the copyright owner does not provide
(conditional) written permission to copy (e.g., to backup a personal copy).
