July 11-15, 1983 A short course offered by the Department of Computer Engineering & Science Case Institute of Technology Case Western Reserve University Cleveland, Ohio 44106 This course will help the systems architect to choose between custom, semi-custom and "off the shelf" system building blocks based upon a set of economic and technological criteria. The architectural implications of custom VLSI systems will be explored in depth. Participants will learn to use a mixed top-down and bottom-up design methodology to produce a detailed functionally complete custom MOS system. This course will be "results" oriented -- not philosophical! For more information, please contact: Paul J. Drongowski decvax!cwruecmp!pjd pjd.Case@UDEL-RELAY
