Ayuh, I did purchase them, and found them to be rather "Maine-like" in their
humah.  As I read them I am reminded of the man in the Petridge Farm (sic)
ads.  The humor is strange.  I think of them as being "Paul Bunyon" type
stories, folk tales rather then conventional comics.  I enjoyed them and
had fun doing my Maine voice when reading them to brother, Broome.  I cer-
tainly can understand someone else not enjoying them though.

My suggest to you all: if you enjoy a tall tale, or a folks story, give it a
try.  If you are expecting CEREBUS style humor, or typical comic book
adventure, I would stay away from it.
