I guess I should have clarified that.  Yes, you can run emacs on a
DMF32 if you turn off the mpxio stuff.  This means no subprocesses,
which means no shell, for example.

I have found and fixed a half dozen bugs in the driver having to do
with multiplex files, but still can't get it to work.  In addition to
emacs, you also can't put an autodialer on a DMF32 and use the dialer
daemon (dnd) with it.  I'm sure there are other things that won't work,
but I don't have a complete list.

If I ever do get the driver working, I will post a notice here.
