Are there any other scanner enthusiasts or	short wave
listeners in the Northeastern Illinois area	who care to
exchange	information as to frequencies of interest?

USENET seems like a good	place to exchange this information.

My first	contributions in this endeavor are:

o+ The Drug Enforcement Agency of	the U.S. Justice
Department	has a	few repeaters in the Chicago area.
The one on 418.9 mHz is used for undercover
surveillance operations. It makes for good	listening.

o+ If you're into listening on	the short wave bands, tune
to	11.249 mHz USB to hear Air Force 1 (the	president's
plane) and Air Force 2 (the	vice president's plane).
