Moyers. They hate each other and do everything they can short of murder to run each other out of business. I forget who runs the Luxury chain. The effect of this is they each try to out-bid each other for the cash offering to get an "exclusive" on a new release. Of course, that may not account for it. I paid $4.50 to see ROTJ yesterday afternoon in Connecticut, mistakenly believing the matinee price would be $2.50. I suppose there is also a fair amount of "what the traffic will bear" approach. I don't go to movies all that often, but matinee prices are usually $2.00 - $2.50, and evening prices are $3.00 - $4.00. - Alan S. Watt
