I don't want to see advertising either, refering to Andy's article.
I do however want the information of knowing where to buy something
very cheap.  We see automobiles prices listed, operating systems
prices listed, and I se no reason not to say where I can by floppies
for my home system listed.

I think the mistake was putting it in net.general. The second mistake
was posting to two newsgroups separately.  I did send mail to the
originator of the article at the time I saw the article.

One-time-only announcements of products or services in net.wanted
should be allowed.  I thought that that was what was the general
agreement the last time this stuff hit the fan.
