I have found pothos to be a pretty indestructible plant all around. I have
a number of them, and they were the only ones that survived when I moved
to a very dark, very hot, house. Stay away from ferns of any kind and
wandering jews - they look gorgeous and bushy in the store, but, for me
at any rate, seem to self-destruct the moment I take them home. Draceanas
are also pretty good in dark places, and, if you want a rock-garden effect,
try moss.
