Faithful readers of net.flame, you are about to see an apology. All of
you who dont like apologies in net.flame can all stop reading this now.

Yesterday, I sent out an article addressed primarily to Larry Welsch but
four your general enjoyment as well. It was in a followup to an article
which purported to come from houxu!welsch. As part of the article I
mentioned that you could get to houxu via ihnp4 and from there to utzoo
and from utzoo to utcsstat and thus to me.

This was wrong. Im sorry. I have a program here which reads in incoming
news and looks for connections between sites that it had not already
been aware of. The ihnp4!houxu connection looked good to it, and I
believed it. Unfortunately, houxu appears to not exist. Larry Welsch
has also signed his articles houxj!welsch. I believe that ihnp4 talks
to houxj as well, but I am not longer sure how valid any results of my
program is since *something* is scrambling net addresses in at least
one case somewhere --

Larry Welsch, and anybody else, I believe that ihnp4 exists even
though i cannot see it. I can see utzoo from here, it is still there,
and utcsstat is responding nicely (well, I could get rid of a few
S's that are running now to suit me, but i wont....). You can get
to me via ihnp4!utzoo!utcsstat!laura. I am going to see if houxj
exists, and more importantly if there is anybody home at houxj!welsch,
but right now -- I dont know.

Thanks to Peter Honeyman who pointed out the quasi-existence of houxu to me.
