Does anybody else feel the volume of SFL has been uncomfortably high lately?
There used to be about one 10,000-character digest each day, which was fine.
Tonight (the evening of June 7) there have been four such digests. I find
that I don't have the time to grovel over 40K bytes of no doubt illuminating
reading every day, so I have to throw most of it away unread.

I assume the problem (if such it can be termed) is directly caused by a
corresponding increase in submissions, possibly due to the multi-network
readership. I am not sure what can be done about it, but I suggest that
people think about it. Proposed solutions, or claims that it is not in
fact a problem, etc., should NOT be sent to the digest, since that would
only exacerbate the problem; send serious suggestions to SF-Lovers-Request,
send other relevant comments to me, and send flames to the bit-bucket.
