The term "non-religous" might have been more accurately stated as "non-observant" -- but the concept of the non-religous Jew is quite reasonable. Einstein once said (in paraphrase) "Judasim is the religion I'm not." One friend considers me non-religious because I don't keep Kosher or observe the holidays. Her friends consider her non-religious because she skiis on the Sabbath. And so it goes. Perhaps some Christian could explain something to me: is it the Northern-Ireland Catholics or the Northern-Ireland Protestants who are the unbelievers?
