Well, Commodore has dropped the dealer price on the C64 to $199 in the
USA, so you will see loss leaders for peanuts on it soon.

Their new software division has decided that they will sell almost
all their software for under $50. They have signed on products like
"The Manager" from BMB and others to sell at this price. The authors
are getting peanuts, though. They wanted two of my products, but only
wanted to give a royalty of $0.50 per copy with no assurances.

Mind you, with database, spreadsheet and word processors for $50, they
are going to hurt their competition. They have halved the price of
their games, and some will be down to as low as $10 soon, I expect.
