Y'all know about the "inverted  triangle"  popular in the hardcopy  news
business?  It's the concept of putting the MOST  important  stuff first,
then the KIND OF important stuff, then the LEAST important stuff...

Well, it's  relevant  here, too.  The longer the article,  the more it's
important!  Don't BEGIN with apologies, explanations, etc.  Put the meat
up front and END with such drivel.

And, while I suppose we must (?) suffer with notes  headers and assorted
other  low-level  routing crud before  articles  really begin, why can't
some of you keep your sign-off info BRIEF!!  Like this:
