Glenn Reid exhibits a reasonable confusion in his comment concerning
"religious" and "non-religious" Jews, suggesting that, if there
is such a thing as a "non-religious Jew", that means Judaism is
a race.

The term "non-religous" might have been more accurately stated as
"non-observant" -- but the concept of the non-religous Jew is
quite reasonable. Einstein once said (in paraphrase) "Judasim
is the religion I'm not."

One friend considers me non-religious because I don't keep Kosher
or observe the holidays. Her friends consider her non-religious
because she skiis on the Sabbath. And so it goes.

Perhaps some Christian could explain something to me: is it the
Northern-Ireland Catholics or the Northern-Ireland Protestants
who are the unbelievers? And, for that matter, are there any
Christians in America who felt shame for what their co-religionists
have done to Lebanon?
