A friend of mine bought a VF750 interceptor this year and let me ride
it for a whole day. Now, I currently own a Suzuki GS1100, and I used to own a
GS750 before that, and let me tell you, that interceptor FLIES !. It's not as
fast or as quick as the GS11, of course, but it makes a lot of power, all over
from idle to redline. The handling is the best I have ever seen on ANY bike.
(and I have ridden my share over the past seven years). That little rocket
will duck into tight, fast corners and just zip through.
It seems to KNOW where you want it to go, and just follows. Fast riding (ie.
above 85mph) on backroads is fun and relaxing, because the bike is so
predictable. Brakes are powerful and easy, and they don't grip or fade even
under hard use. Suspension is just fine, and can easily be ajusted to
personal taste. The bike won't bob or wiggle if you shove it around corners,
even under hard braking. Tires could be improved, as they tend to give out a
little too quickly if you push too hard. I discussed this with my friend and
he agrees that something like Phantoms or K291 would be better. With the
engine being so narrow, with tires like that, you'll probably end up scraping
your shoulders before anything touches...

All in all, I had lots of fun with it, and I would surely recommend
it to anyone who likes backroad hustling. But when I climbed on my GS1100 at
the end of the day, and twisted that grip...
