Actually, he was quite interesting and amusing. One the `folk' remedies (which he said he has been collecting over the years from colleagues) was a sure fire cure for the hiccups he learned from a Brittish doctor. The cure: a good, healthy sneeze. Of course, the Brittish have discovered a method of inducing a sneeze. It's called snuff.
