I rather like this one, and it DID acutally happen.  A very nice woman
who also is a southern baptist (the two not being mutually exclusive)
had to go to the hospital for a minor operation.  The only hospital that
could receive her was a local catholic hospital.  Although the woman had
strong religious beliefs, she had no problem with this and checked into
the hospital.

After the operation (which went fine, by the way) she was wheeled into an
all white recovery room where a nun stayed with her to moniter her vital
signs.  The woman woke up, saw the white room, saw the nun, decided she was
dead and said "Oh, my g-d, you people were right!"
