Married Dec 26, 1728 (29 years married) to:  Abigail Garfield, daughter of Benoni Garfield and Abigail Stearns.Born Mar 5, 1708 at Watertown, Ma, died before 1789 at Weston, Ma, at most 81 years Children: 2. James Edwin Jones, Jr. , Jr.Born Jun 9, 1731 at Watertown Mass. Then To Deep River, Guilford, North Carolina in 1748, died Dec 23, 1791 at Surry Co., Nc, 60 years James Jones was born in MA. In 1748 moved to Guilford county, and then to Rowan/Surry/Yadkin county in 1757. Purchased 360 acres on Forbush Creek. Will dated Feb., 1792 lists wife Elizabeth, sons James Jones, Jr., Lemuel Jones and daughters Eunice Hadley, Elizabeth Speer, Sarah Burch, Ruth Jones.
