However, they were both born about 980, and have another son, Roger, Count of St. Pol, born about 1000. Engelbert would thus be 100 years older than his parents and 120 years older than his brother. Yet, according to Stuart, Royalty for Commoners, 3rd ed., 1998, this lineage is correct -- obviously it is a matter of wrong dates, either year of birth for himself, his parents, or his children, and not the people involved. | |||
