Born ‎ 1687 at Bedford, England (Probably 1683 in Ireland), died ‎ Feb 8, 1748/49‎, approximately 61 years
[Branham.ged]
for the years 1697-1699. This is one section of that page:
"CHARON BRENHAN, Servant to George Davenport, being presented to this
Court to have inspection into his age, is adjudged Twelve years old and
ordered to serve his said Master or assigns according to Act. "
Additional information is from "The Registers of North Farnham Parish,
1663-1814, and Lunenberg Parish 1783-1800. Richmond Co ., VA" compiled
and published by George Harrison Sanford King; Fellow, America n Society
of Genealogists, Fredericksburg, Va, 1966.
Note by author: It see ms more than probable that Charon Brenhan at the
age of 12, would have been in a party of older Brannons who arrived in
North Farnham Parish, Richmond Co., VA , (which lies on the northern side
of the Rappahannock River) between the years 1697 - 1699. He might have
come over with his parents, or uncles, or other me mbers of his family,
however there has, to date,
been found no record of thes e forebears.
