Daily Democrat, Clinton MO - D. P. "Buddy" Cooper, 81, died Tuesday
morning, August 23, 1994, at Fern's Care Center in Windsor. He was
born July 9, 1913, in Windsor, the son of Daniel Stonewall Cooper
and Leona Mae Pickett Cooper. On January 8, 1938, in Green Forest,
Arkansas, he married Elsie Waunita Jones who preceded him in death
on June 16, 1987. He then married Helen McLaughlin in Windsor on
July 9, 1988. She survives of the home in Windsor. Mr. Cooper was
a retired farmer and stockman. He also worked for the State of
Missouri, with the Department of Agriculture, as a dairy inspector
from 1970 to 1981. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of
Windsor. Survivors include his wife, Helen Cooper, of the home;
a son, Brad V. Cooper, Kansas City; a sister, Audra Baker,
Warrensburg; two stepdaughters, Brenda Glass of McAllister,
Oklahoma and Kay Harris of Independence. Funeral services will be
Friday, August 26, 1994, at 10:30 a.m. at the Hadley Funeral Home,
Windsor, with Rev. Bob Warren officiating and Rev. Dan Crum
assisting. Burial will be in the Laurel Oak Cemetery, Windsor
