I do not have the George you seek in my databases but believe I
have found his baptism in a published index which I will send you
as your final extract since my $5 search fee kicks in anyhow. I do
not have the microfilm for these records which are indexed in a
book called:

Births 1815-1879 District of Saint-Francis, from the church Records
of sixteen religious denominations, Catholics not included. 2
volumes, compiled by la Société de généalogie des Cantons de
l'Est of Sherbrooke, Quebec. ISBN 2-920199-30-7 (Same ISBN for
both volumes).

These records were indexed by French-speaking people so there
are many errors regarding names and dates. I highly recommend
you follow the instructions you'll find on the left margin of my web
page on how to order a copy of the original record from the Quebec
National Archives Branch in Montreal.

From page 138 of the index:
BOYD, Genger Douglas (M) son of Mathew Boyd farmer and his
wife Louise Porter Douglas of Newport, born Sept. 3, 1877 and
baptized Nov. 8, 1877 at the Wesleyan Methodist Church in Eaton

Matthew Boyd b.1844 is Rick's great grandfather. Rick did send me a picture of himself and I thought he looked alot like my brother Douglas Greer. Funny isn't it. The lady standing with Matthew is Sarah Ann Boyd b. 1847. Sitting from left to right is Eliza Boyd b. 1841, Joseph Boyd b. 1846 and Isabella Boyd b.1854. Seated on the bottom is Maggie Boyd b. 1860.

The woman who posted the picture is a Christie. Sarah Ann Boyd married William John Christie and there are some pictures of them and their family on the site too. The site is: http://www.flickr.com/photos/gowks_nest .

Did you send the picture to Rick & Margaret or did you want me to. Donna
