man Stewart Franklin "Stewart Boyd" Boyd‏‎, son of Matthew Boyd and Louisa Porter Douglass‏.
Born ‎± 1890 at Randboro, PQ, Canada, died ‎ 1930 at Brooklyn, NY, USA‎, approximately 40 years
Hi Velma, I am sure that this is our Stewart. He was married first to Jennie Considine. Jennie is buried in Greenwood Cemetery along with one of their sons William J Boyd. Jennie was buried Oct 30,1918 and William J was buried Jan 26,1911. In the 1930 Census Vera Boyd was still living with her grandmother Mary Considine. Donna

Extract 4 comes from the registers of the Anglican Church serving
Gore, Quebec (Argenteuil Co.), register for the year 1844 on the
back of folio 5, Quebec National Archives microfilm 346.16. I preserve all the
spelling and punctuation quirks of the original:

Eleanor Sybella, daughter of Matthew Boyd, farmer, and Louisa
Douglass his wife, of the Township of Newport in the county of
Compton, was born on the third day of December in the year of our
Lord one thousand eight hundred and eighty-three, and was
baptized on the eighth day of December in the year of our Lord one
thousand eight hundred and eighty-four

Extract 2 comes from the registers of the Methodist Church serving
Sawyerville, Quebec, second register for the year 1894 on the back

I do not have the George you seek in my databases but believe I
have found his baptism in a published index which I will send you
as your final extract since my $5 search fee kicks in anyhow. I do
not have the microfilm for these records which are indexed in a
book called:

Births 1815-1879 District of Saint-Francis, from the church Records
of sixteen religious denominations, Catholics not included. 2
volumes, compiled by la Société de généalogie des Cantons de
l'Est of Sherbrooke, Quebec. ISBN 2-920199-30-7 (Same ISBN for
both volumes).

These records were indexed by French-speaking people so there
are many errors regarding names and dates. I highly recommend
you follow the instructions you'll find on the left margin of my web
page on how to order a copy of the original record from the Quebec
National Archives Branch in Montreal.

From page 138 of the index:
BOYD, Genger Douglas (M) son of Mathew Boyd farmer and his
wife Louise Porter Douglas of Newport, born Sept. 3, 1877 and
baptized Nov. 8, 1877 at the Wesleyan Methodist Church in Eaton

The following record comes from the registers of the Anglican
Church serving St. Andrew, Quebec, register for the year 1840 on
the front of folio 8, Quebec National Archives microfilm 128.51:

Matthew Boyd b.1844 is Rick's great grandfather. Rick did send me a picture of himself and I thought he looked alot like my brother Douglas Greer. Funny isn't it. The lady standing with Matthew is Sarah Ann Boyd b. 1847. Sitting from left to right is Eliza Boyd b. 1841, Joseph Boyd b. 1846 and Isabella Boyd b.1854. Seated on the bottom is Maggie Boyd b. 1860.

The woman who posted the picture is a Christie. Sarah Ann Boyd married William John Christie and there are some pictures of them and their family on the site too. The site is: http://www.flickr.com/photos/gowks_nest .

Did you send the picture to Rick & Margaret or did you want me to. Donna
