 Aaron DOAN, son of Joseph DOAN and Hester VICKERS.Born 1754 at Plumstead, Bucks Co., PA, died Aug 02, 1844 at Humberstone, Welland Co., Ontario, Canada , 89 or 90 years Tory outlaw One of the: Plumstead Cowboys and the Bucks County Bandittories In August, 1784, Aaron Doane was captured in Baltimore. Although tried and convicted to hang, a complex legal manoeuvre freed him. For a time Aaron then disassociated himself from criminal activity, but he was apparently a slow learner. In 1789 we was arrested again, this time in New Jersey, where he was charged with burglary. During his trial, incredibly he managed to simply saunter out of the courtroom one day and then promptly fled to Canada, a country that was to be his home for the rest of his life.
