Lori Garner Elmore has Matilda married to David, Earl o f Huntington, but
has a sister "Mabel" married to William d 'Albini, Earl of Arundel. She
has the marriage taking place in 1230, & agrees that Matilda di ed in
1233. Given the of children Matilda supposedly had here with William ,
I really wonder if in fact William married this sister Mabel.
Lori lists M atilda as "Maud."
The University of Hull shows Matilda the mother of all the c hildren and
marrying both men. I tend to think Lori's research makes more se nse
except a 1230 marriage date would put Mabel, who she has as older than
Maud/Matilda, pretty old to be having children (as Maude/Matilda was born
in 1171).
