In 1787 Jacob sold a slave to Nathaniel Moss and moved to Rowan County, North Carolina.

In 1794 Jacob moved to Grayson County, Virginia on Meadow Creek.

1796 Jacob obtained a grant from the Commonwealth of Virginia for 140 acres of land on Meadow Creek, this they deeded to Bennett on October 22, 1798 for 20 pounds current money of Virginia, but Jacob and Mary remained on here for the rest of their lives.

Deed recorded March 4, 1807. James Rector to William Bartley 260 acres of land on Meadow Creekfor $200.00.

Deed dated April 12, 1807. William Bartley to Bennett Rector 60 acres of land on Meadow Creek for $100.00. This is part of the land deeded to William by James Rector on March 4, 1807.

Peter and his family lived in Fauquier County, Virginia until 1785, then moved to North Carolina with his brothers James and Jesse, and settled in Rowan County, North Carolina. Peter was the only one to remain in North Carolina.

Jesse lived in Fauquier County, Virginia.

Jesse served in the Revolutionary War at Yorktown with General George Washington, (pension claim R 8639).

He lived in Fauquier County, Virginia until 1785 when he moved to North Carolina.

In 1791 Jesse moved back to Virginia as he is shown in the Grayson County tithables 1794 to 1820.

In 1796 Jesse obtained a grant from the Commonwealth of Virginia for 156 acres of land in Garyson County near Little River. Here he built a house for his mother and her slave to live near his house. He freed his slaves, but his mother's slave refused to go.

They lived on this land until 1820 when he sold the farm to James Kyle and moved to Lawrence County, Indiana.
