Ancestral Roots gives two different dates from two different lines (which do cross reference each other so that the individuals are clearly identified). I have chosen to prefer Magna Charta Sureties' date of 1258, not only because it is between the other two, but mostly because it also gave Richard's birthdate, possibly indicating more detailed knowledge. Magna Charta Sureties gives 1228 as the death date of Richard's father William. At least all of the dates ended with an "8". Burke's Peerage also gives 1258.
