Settled at Marlow, NH in 1765 on a Grant of land made to men of Lyme andColchester, CN and was among the first settlers there. His brotherThomas removed from Marlow to Claremont, NH.

Samuel remained at Marlow and was chairman of the committee for the townof Marlow. Also, Alstead and Surrey, NH. He was representative to thelegislature, Dec 11, 1776. He was a soldier in the Revolutionary War.
