I have seen information that Martha Menefee is the daughter of William
Menefee and Amelia Scruggs, and that George and Susannah are siblings.
Also that William Menefee and Amelia Scruggs married in 1783 in Franklin
Co., VA, surety William Scruggs.
I have also seen that Martha "Patty" Menefee is the daughter of William
Menefee and Virginia/Elizabeth Crump.

1861. In 1773 William Menefee married Amelia Scruggs, Surety William
Scruggs.
I have also seen that Martha "Patty" Menefee is the daughter of William
Menefee and Virginia/Elizabeth Crump.
William Menefee, son of Jonas Menefee of Culpepper County, came to this
section of Virginia in the early 1770s with his brother, John Menefee. He
fought in the Revolutionary War, took the Oath of Allegiance in 1777, at
Henry City, Va., then went on to Kentucky with his brother, John.
Marriage of his children: in 1807, William Sharrock, Martha Menefee,
Surety George Menefee; in 1808, George Menefee, Mary Polly Rigney, surety
George Menefee; in 1819, Thomas Hale, Susannah Menefee, surety George
