Also known as: Wenninger, born ‎± 1825‎. Occupation: ‎ at Manhattan Ave.,New York; making clothes for the army
the following was taken from an interview between Margaret Shields/Eberhardt and Lillian Shields/Tyree:

[Grandpa Weniger wanted their daughter, Mary, to marry a man who worked in their shop. They were in the business of making clothes for the Army. The shop was on Manhattan Ave., and they also lived in the store. There was a shop in the back where they repaired the machines....he disowned Mary when she married John Albert...and never forgave her...Grandpa Weniger and his brother Uncle (no one remembers his name - although he was a politician and uppity) donated the bells to Trinity Church in Brooklyn]
