Samuel Griffith said in Maryland prior to June 1651 with wife and 2 servants.

Welch Poole, Calvert County, west side of Patuxent River, original grant of Samuel Griffith, recorded Griffin.

Samuel Griffith the immigrant Quaker, at Herring Creek Meeting 7th day of 9th month 1688, with William Edmonson, Samuel Chew II, Joseph chew and William berry; witness wedding Thomas Miles and Elizabeth White, West River Meeting, Md 23 Dec 1714.

Samuel Griffith witness will of Edmund Joy 1665.

Samuel Griffth will probated 3 Sept 1717. Suggested that some of the children must be from a second marriage.

Hurley, The Griffith Gamily of Maryland: Samuel named heir of Philip Soones will 30 March 1685. Faith Gongo will 23 Feb 1693 names Samuel overseer of estate. Samuel executor will of John Whipps of 10 December 1716, Calvert County.

immigrated to Maryland prior to June, 1651, and "was seated in Patuxent
River, Calvert County, Maryland,", on his plantation "Welch Poole". His
will was probated 3rd September, 1717; his widow Elizabeth's will was
probated 16th December, 1718, in Calvert County, Maryland.

Elizabeth Griffith, wife of Samuel Griffith, dec'd, being part admin. of
will of afsd, dec'd. makes son Samuel lawful hr. of her part of husband's
will.
