BARONY OF CLIFTON (II) 1388 to 1395

CONSTANTINE (DE CLIFTON), Lord Clifton, son and heir, aged 16 years at his father's death; had livery of his lands in 1393. He was summoned to Parliament from 13 Nov 1393 to 20 Nov 1394. He m., after Feb 1389/90, Margaret, daughter of Sir John Howard, of Wigenhall, Norfolk, by his 1st wife Margaret, daughter of Sir John Plaiz. He d. 1395. His widow m., before 1397, Sir Gilbert Talbot, who d. Feb 1398/9. She, who had licence to m. whom she would, 2 June 1399, d. 25 Mar 1433, and was buried at the Blackfriars, Norwich.
