of Flint, Matilda

Birth Name of Flint, Matilda
Gender female
Age at Death about 35 years

Narrative

Bartrum's "Welsh Classical Dictionary". According to Peniarth MS.270 p.246 (late 16th century) the wife of Cynan Dindaethwy was "Mahallt ferch Iarll y Phlynt." The mention of the Earl of Flint is of course anachronistic. Wurts anglicises the name as Matilda.
