Thomas was the son of Sir John Camoys. In August 1383 he was summoned to the House of Lords as Lord Camoys. He fought in the Hundred Years' War and commanded the left wing of the English Army at the Battle of Agincourt in 1415. He was made a Knight of the Garter the same year
