Unfortunately that's what retailers do believe. They get a massive pile
of toys / books / other merchandise whenever the first new Star Wars
movie comes out (Episode I, Episode VII, etc.), fail to sell it all and
are left with large piles of "peg warmers", and so then don't bother to
get the later releases. Thos of us who actually try to collect
something end up with large gaps and or having to pay over-bloated
prices to get the stuff from overseas. :-(

Then there's the greedy scum like Hasbro who re-release the exact same
product in different packaging, or like Dorling Kindersley who release
a book, then a year or two later release the same book with a couple of
added pages. X-(
