This is a summary of what I learned about TeX for the Amiga.
It's available from
n \sup 2 Computer Consultants
box 2736
College Station TX 77841
for $300, which includes TeX, LaTeX, IniTeX, and a previewer.
They say that with 1.5 MB memory you can edit your file, run TeX, and
preview it on the screen at the same time. At least a 512K machine is
necessary to run those things one at a time, and with 512K LaTex
doesn't fit anymore.
This is a C version of TeX, translated automagically by Tom
Rokicki aka rokicki@Sushi.Stanford.EDU. They say it runs
faster than the msdos versions on an AT.
They also seemed amenable to the notion that they would
benefit from use by net folk, and that some kind of group or developer's
discounts are possible.
Other notes:
I forgot to ask them if Amiga TeX passes the validation
suite.
I also learned that there is a good version of TeX, with a screen
previewer, for the Atari ST, available from Germany.
