Signetics evidently has some good stuff too, including a new chip that my 1985
catalog doesn't list but which I think does NTSC to RGB decoding and has the
matrix built in. It is called the TDA3563, and is designed for use in TV
receivers (all of which eventually have to produce RGB signals internally).
Related hint: If you own a color TV set of high quality, you should be able
to add Composite and/or RGB inputs to it if you aren't afraid to tear it
apart! Also you could modify it to do composite to RGB conversion but of
course you might as well use its CRT display too in that case!
