Galactica was among the first 12 battlestars built - all at the start of
the first war. It was 50 years old when they planned to decommission it.
That means it will be completely built 2 years into the war (8 years
after the Caprica pilot time frame). By the start of the second Cylon
war, there are 120 battlestars in service.
