This time of the year, I find myself tempted to RUSH THE HALLOWEEN
SEASON. In addition to watching BUGGLES VIDEOS, ordering tomato
bisque UNDER THE DOOR, and getting a degree in bowling from DUKE!

Any other times of year that are special to the world of MST3K?

why did I BURY my SHIRT? ;-)

Thanksgiving is very special to MST3K fans since that was around the
time the show first premiered on KTMA (not to mention the Turkey Day
marathons that aired on Comedy Central back when they had the show).

I'd also say Xmas is special to MiSTies thanks to Santa Claus Conquers
the Martians and Santa Claus.

July is when Gleason Days happens (if it still does... does anyone
know?). So, be on the lookout for invading Volkswagens around that
time! :-)

And the movie RAMPS UP the repulsion! ;-)

The Gleason Days Fair only occurs when the people of Wisconsin need an
alternative to mass-suicide rituals a la the Jonestown Affair.

Maybe they should have "SummerFest" instead. That's *not* known for
attracting GiantSpiderVolkswagens From Other Universes. You might run
into some Soultakers, though! :-)

BTW, Jonah, I hope you got to see the replay of the RiffTrax Live:
Plan Nine from Outer Space event. What do you, or others who got to
see this on Thursday, think of it? Was I too effusive in my praise?
Or NOT NEARLY enough? ;-) I wonder if they managed to fix the signal
drop-out problems.

-Doug Elrod (dre1@cornell.edu)
poised to CAREFULLY MODULATE my effusiveness!
