I'd need to plot data, draw picitures (block diagrams, flow
charts, pert charts, etc.), preferably using a mouse, and have them printed
(plotted) color/b&w from an AT&T PC. What software/hardware does anyone
recommend for this? I'm narrowing things down to PCPaint by Mouse Systems,
but don't know wether the package includes a mouse, or if MS Mouse will do.
Speaking of MS Mouse, what's available (other than DR Draw) for use with it?

On the output side, I have a TI Omni 855 printer, but may be intersted
in an hp (or other) plotter for color and flexibility.

By the way, this is more for report generation and vugraph drawing (on acetate)
for presentations rather than heavy-duty CAD. Please mail suggestions
and/or comments on your experience to:

PCPaint is good. Its interface is very MAC-like. You might wish to
consider DR.HALO by Media Cybernetics. Dr.Halo is VERY fast and offers
a superb TEXT generation facility. The documentation is pretty good and
the installation procedures are a breeze.

If you are looking for a package with a mouse then I recommend you
purchase a mouse that comes with software. For ~$90 you can get a
Visimouse and PCPaint. This mouse is optical and is made by Mouse
Systems (it says so on the bottom of the mouse). Check current issues
of PCWeek and PC Magazine for more information.
