During a PGA-sponsored "Produced By" conference at the 20th Century Fox lot, director J.J. Abrams stirred anticipation for "Star Wars: Episode VII" by dropping some details on the project, including its January 2014 production date.
"Most likely we are going to be moving to London at the end of the year for the 'Star Wars' movie," he said, according Hitfix.
However, the 46-year-old father-of-three admitted the move "really does make him insane."
Traditionally, Abrams has shot exclusively in Los Angeles, even going to far as to personally fund a portion of "Star Trek: Into Darkness" to make that happen, said Yahoo! News.
"I think that the thing is so big and so massive to so many people that the key to moving forward is honoring but not revering what went before," he continued.
As of now, the film is set for a summer 2015 release in conjunction with Disney, and Michael Arndt ("Little Miss Sunshine," "Toy Story 3") will write the script. Arndt is also set to write for "The Hunger Games" sequel, "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire," reported the Hollywood Reporter.
However, original creator George Lucas will stay on as consultant, but he has given Abrams his blessing to do with the film as he sees fit.
