Probably. If you're running a reasonably recent version of Windows, the
free anti-virus that Microsoft includes is as good as any of the paid ones.

Proper solution: don't run windows. Simplex.

Several computer forums I'm on have stated that McAfee and others from
years ago should be avoided.

In forty years of computing, I've only seen "pcmatic" in the TV
commercials. I've never seen it used in real life in business or
for personal installations. It's never discussed in the standard
technical fora for antiviral software. The commercials remind me
of Chevy Chase and his bassamatic.

When my parents grew up, they didn't have computers, so computer
viruses weren't one of the thing they thought about to warn their
kids about.

In fact, I was already an adult before computers stopped being
something that filled whole rooms which mere mortals used from
terminals or with punched cards... and became something we
could own ourselves.

And, on the other hand, syphillis and gonhorrea are both bacterial
rather than viral diseases. The Human Immunodeficiency Virus
was *also* unknown during my childhood.

They're just rare.

I heard about it, over a year before the tv commercials.

I suspect people had heard of smallpox and polio by then.

(I'm wondering how much protection the smallpox shot I got in
the 1950s gives me against monkeypox.)

Monkeypox seems to be shaping up as another covid. First they say “it’s
rare, and hard to get.” Now it seems to be becoming less rare, and a lot
easier to get than originally thought.

I run (an ancient) firewall; it won't stop my PC getting infected, but
I'll see if/when anything dubious 'phones home'. Not had anything in years
(I hope I haven't just jinxed it!).

About as much protection as 'Big Bubba' your new cellmate provides when
he says, "Hey, fresh fish, don't you worry! I'll *protect* you!

> Monkeypox seems to be shaping up as another covid. First they say “it’s

Not a single, verifiable isolate of COVID exists. But only extremist
bumpkins would dare question it.

Your lords and masters could invent a new, fictitious 'dreaded gumboo'
virus every week and you slaves would run out to get 52 jabs and 156
boosters every year. And you would call for the heads of everyone who
dares to endanger humanity by refusing all 208 annual shots. Some of you
would demand internment camps for any people who believe 208 jabs per
year is a tad excessive.

There is no virus. It's a scam. The fact you are not talking about the
obvious speaks volumes. Until you actually question the lies you are
being spoonfed, I know you are arrogant stooges, and you deserve the
medical and political abuse you so slavishly allow.

Allow me to redneck it down for you: they are lying to you, and you love
to be lied to and abused. Your civilization has been conquered by a
hostile foreign cabal who hates you and rules by deceit, and you can't
even see it. You're too busy blowing smoke up each others' asses to see
anything.

The modern 'science' of virology and immunology are Roman quack
medicine. It's medieval demonology updated for rubes who consider
themselves more 'sophisticated' than those medieval peasants.

For those who don't know their history, consider this.

The government required masking 100 years ago with the fake Spanish Flu
pandemic. A series of 26 vaccines was forced on hundreds of millions of
people. The vaccines killed 75 million people. A health department
officer shot a man for refusing to wear a mask in one city. Many more
who refused to participate in the religious masking ritual had their
lives and livelihoods destroyed.

The government required masking 200 years ago.

The government required masking 300 years ago, well before the existence
of germs had even been discovered. In the 1720s, the government mandated
quarantines and mask-wearing in Philadelphia, due to a yellow fever
outbreak. The only problem is that yellow fever is a tropical disease
and cannot survive as far north as Philadelphia. It was a made-up, fake
pandemic of a disease that didn't even exist in that region.

The government required quarantines and masking 100 years before that,
and again 100 years before that, and so on. This religious submission
ritual goes back many centuries in the annals of history. It's a boiling
frog exercise in submission to 'authority' that the empire rolls out at
least once every 100 years. The fear and panic it creates in the
populace makes them easy to control and ready to believe any lie spoken
by authority.

You are slaves. And you deserve to be slaves. Kiss the hands that feed
you. Your Roman Catholic masters hate you, because you by your
capitulation to their obvious lies, prove your weakness to them, and
embolden them to push the envelope. Now they are coming openly to fuck
your children in the ass, and training your children in Kindergarten to
submit to anal ass raping with GLBT indoctrination. This is how a
conquering army operates. They rape your women and children as a form of
terror.

PcMatic can be set to 'ask me' for any program previously not
installed/used. I set it that way.

It did tend to change back to 'always block', but that has been fixed.
I have it set in its menus to ask me.

Of course. The whole world once suffered from the curses of Moloch on
their harvest, and the curses of Moloch that caused disease, until they
followed the science and sacrificed their children in bonfires to
Moloch. Many lives were saved from the wrath of Moloch with 'booster
burnings' to ensure future immunity. I remember, it was real.

Pull your head out of your grundle. The plandemic is fake and you are a
dupe. You are lining your children up to be injected with poison because
of your peasant superstitions about invisible germs.

You hate your children. You especially hate other people's children. But
you love Moloch's medical priests, and you will talk about the 'safety
of children' as you sell them into slavery.

You are a sucker, suck-up, and useful idiot.

The dead who died from the plandemic died from intubation, medical
neglect, and dangerous experimental vaccines.

You helped murder those people with your support of the big lie. You are

If that fools misinformation causes one death, they should be charged

"For John came neither eating nor drinking, and they say, He hath a devil."

Here the medical cultist is medicalizing dissent, showing his true colors.

You are a murderer, Jim. You support the imperialist lies that have
killed and maimed countless people. Your civilization has been conquered
by a religious cult of liars who have captured all the licensed
professions. You are a conquered people.

You support a medical experiment on billions of people, and have the
pluck to call me 'crazy' and 'stupid.' Your arrogance is astounding.

You expose yourself once again as a murderer. You want to shed the
innocent blood of those who warn about danger.

You would be better off preferring murder charges for all the medicos
who murdered millions of people with the vax poison.

And you expose yourself by noting the literacy of my speech.

You are obstinate, self-willed, and delusional.

The virus is fake.

The jab kills.

Before COVID, iatrogenic deaths were 10x higher than deaths from
automobile accidents. After COVID iatrogenic killings have skyrocketed.

The problem with your drivel is that your statement is the "No True
Scotsman" fallacy. It is a variation of the "ad hominem" fallacy.

Surely, no true Scotsman would call himself "Redneck" so everything else
he says cannot be true.

What a simpleton argument!

Using your logic what kind of Scotsman calls himself, "Ahem A Rivet's Shot?"

Have you heard about throwing stones in glass houses?

COVID is a hoax. The vax kills people. Masking does nothing to protect
from viruses. The U.S. regime has killed more people than Genghis Khan.
The liberalist USA regime is the most genocidal regime in world history.
It makes Hitler and Stalin look like amateurs. Their propaganda is so
good that nobody ever talks about the USA regime body count.

These man-slayers killed over 600 thousand in Iraq alone. Multiply that
by the dozens of aggressive wars they have waged in 200 years to 'spread
democracy.'

Since its founding the USA regime as murdered over 300 million people
not counting Africans, Central and South Americans forced into
starvation and butchery from CIA backed coups and revolutions, and you
trust them when they say they want to protect you from the common cold
with an experimental vaccine?

Who is really the troll here?

Our problems with malware started when some scam artist figured out
that he could get paid 50 bucks a shot for malware if he called it
"antivirus".

Given that McAfee offed himself in a Spanish prison while awaiting
extradition to the US where he was to be tried for tax evasion, that
he claims never to have used his own product, and that the government
was out to get him, I think that that is a wise choice.

So some loon posts lunacy and some idiot listens and gets dead for his
trouble and the loon posting lunacy is a murderer? Sorry, we are all
responsible for our own decisions, including the idiot who got dead. I
realize that a major thrust of modern liberalism is to protect us from
our own poor judgment and to find someone to blame for our own poor
judgment--this is one of the reasons that they are having trouble
getting votes from anybody who doesn't live a sheltered life in some
big huge city.

Oh, that evil liberalism. Next it will be spreading lies about the
pandemic. Oh wait, that act is already taken.

Your politics is stupid and boring.

I guess we can see there are a lot of idiots in this world. It's good we
don't have to do anything to protect them.

Education is pretty bad, but this is the culture in action.
Specifically, Fox news viewers.

Basically, people are the same everywhere but when you encourage idiots
bad things happen.

The problem is that 'liberals' have the poorest judgment of all. They
are not on some pedestal meting out 'wisdom' and 'prudence' to the rest
of us. They are sewer rats with no moral ground to stand on. They don't
mean anyone well and they are not trying to protect anyone. They are
trying to destroy every obstacle to their gain and greed. The recent
COVID nonsense is just a pretext for the exercise of unalawful and
unconstitutional power. Everything these liars do and say is a subterfuge.

The slaying of innocent babies in the womb is their religious sacrament.
That is engraved in the stone of history for all to behold, forever.
They will never be able to walk that back or put that genie back in the
bottle. We still remember the ancient Democrats who sacrificed babies to
Moloch, after three millenia. We'll remember the modern Democrats child
sacrifice through abortion even longer.

Abortion is their religious sacrament, similar to how burning a bloody
picture of Mary is a Mafia sacrament, similar to how beating up or
killing a victim is a gangster sacrament. Once you cross that line, you
show you have your cred to be part of the criminal gang. This is why
abortion is so important to lunatic leftists. It proves to the gang that
you are loyal to them, and every criminal enterprise needs that show of
loyalty to feed the delusion that they will continue to evade justice.

Liberals are not trying to 'protect' us from ourselves. They are trying
to gaslight us into submission to their religion. They don't demand that
you tolerate their sexual and prenatal abuse of children. They demand
that you celebrate it and participate in it, or else. They protect you
the same way a mob boss or Stalinist 'protects' you.

All liberals are murderers. They gather together to promote laws,
policies, and culture that strangle the life out of anyone who will not
climb down into the sewer with them. That is murder. It is genocide. You
don't have to be the trigger man to be guilty of genocide. You just have
to give support to the trigger man who is doing the dirty work for you.

Every liberal seeks to profit from the destruction of those who don't
want to be enslaved to their notions of 'democracy' which is really just
a religious caste system with worship of the state as the central deity.
Most conservatives are effeminate subs submitting to the liberal doms,
in worship of the same state. They're all evil cultists and slavers.

The countless effeminate sell-outs in academia who have lived by the
sword through government funding, will defend these 'democratic' slave
rackets to their last breath. These people produce nothing and devour
everything. They are incapable of running a business, or a farm, or a
factory, laying a foundation, building a cattle fence, raising a barn,
etc. So they get on the government dole and take cash for indoctrinating
the youth to be faithful to the empire and its false gods. Their
incompetence is celebrated, so they will stay loyal to the empire and
keep raising up generations of indoctrinated slaves.

These people will never admit to their evil ways. They want to slander,
belittle, harass, annoy, silence, and destroy anyone who calls attention
to their crimes. They reject the forgiveness that God offers through
Jesus. All it takes is for a man to admit to Jesus that his own manmade
ideas are wrong, and a man can be transformed from his wicked ways into
a life of truth. But as the scripture says, they reject the light
because the light exposes their evil deeds.

The word 'sinner' means 'criminal.' The greatest hate crime in world
history was when the Jews and Romans murdered Jesus Christ on the cross.
The liberal elite are mostly Romans (Catholic) and Jews, who like their
ancestors continue to hate and slander the very creator that gave them
existence. Their rebellion against Him is a crime, or 'sin.'

Bloody and war-mongering western 'civilization' is ruled by these bloody
scavengers. They desire to destroy anyone who points out these truths.
Many useful idiots parrot their slanders and accusations, thinking this
will keep them in the good graces of their masters.

We've seen this play out many times in history.

Edit: We've seen this play out many times in history. None remain long
in the good graces of tyrants.
