Hi literate peers,

Well this AM I recieved two advertising message from The Right Stuff
International. The first mentioned in very large poster that the
Nozomi brand will be bringing the Macross Anime to North America. Until
that happens TSRI has a lot of Robotech stuff to sell us. A couple of 24
items per page pages of it.

The next one is selling bundles of Manga but the lead off is a
2 volume hardcover set of a "Message to Adoph" by Tezuka Osamu. This
actually involves not only the infamously prominent Adoph H. but a
couple of boys named Adoph who are caught in Japan in WW II. One is
half Japanese and the other half German. He is not well accepted by
peers in either Japan or Germany to which he travels. The other is a
Jewish boy in Japan who ends up in a war in Israel.
War of course is Hell!

The "Message to Adoph" was one of the first serious manga which
i was lucky enough to read via the SFPL-Main. So I clicked on it
and was taken to a descriptive page but the additional stuff include
Shigero Mizuki's "Hitler" and his excellent "Showa" Series plus
"Barefoot Gen" by Keiji Nakazawa. So take a look at the TSRI pages
to see what I left out.

I got to read all of "Barefoot Gen" 10 volumes borrowing from the San
Francisco Public Library-Main and it is a Master Work in my not so
humble opinion. I have also got the Anime on disk though it has been
years since I watched it. I used it to test my sound these days just
the beginning as the bomber comes toward Hiroshima.
And if you wonder what happened in Nagasaki there is a book
"Last Train From Hiroshima: The Survivors Look Back" and its revised
second edition "To Hell and Back: The Last Train From Hiroshima" is a
book by American author Charles R. Pellegrino.
That train sadly ran to Nagasaki and the travelers arrive just
before the second use of a nuclear weapon in war. Some of the people
escaping Hiroshima have tales of horrible, nearly supernaturally
horrible things they saw in Hiroshima which Gen does not mention.
Likely he was unconscious while they were going on. Otherwise Keiji
would have used them in his manga which is full of horrible things
that happened to his loved ones.

Happy Fourth of July to fellow Americans and any sympathizers.
