So woke ignorance is a failed experiment to extend life that
kills anyone at or above puberty. And a piece of the action is
about chinese politics.

Wasn't that the spin off of the book "LORD OF THE FLIES" which was a
book about children stranded in an island, and how they turned into
amoral little heathens that didn't know about growing up. And in LORD
OF THE FLIES the end of the book.... SPOILER ALERT...

The kids ended up hunting each other down and killing the kids they were
friends with before they were stranded.

It does sound a lot like Democrats of today, they want to hunt down
anyone who doesn't agree with them and their woke imaginary world....
and kill them like they did to the fat little kid "Piggy" in the book.

I'd imagine that Book will be deemed racist or sexist and banned like
"Tom Sawyer" by Democrats since the kids in the LORD OF THE FLIES were
from a boys school and they were all prepubescent boys on the island and
strangely (in the book) none of the kids on the island were concerned
with whether they were trans or just confused.

Star Trek was always woke, in a good sense. For instance, the interracial
kiss in the 60's. In Star Trek you won't have capitalist/communist dichotimies,
you have something else, more enlightened and good manners based on common
sense. Except the Klingons and the Borg, but that's another issue.

Though nazism can be located as a form of fascism or type of totalitarianism,
these generic concepts inadequately account for what was singular about a
regime which unleashed such devastating inhumanity - a terrible war of
annihilation and the worst genocide the world has yet experienced. So this
article suggests an answer located in a unique combination of forces embodied
in Hitler's dictatorship: the extraordinary power of 'charismatic authority',
drawing on distinctive ideological traits in German political culture,
coupled with the bureaucratic capacity of a highly modern state system.

The Star Trek utopia assumes that everyone wants to work to their
fullest potential. We see from our society that people just don't
operate this way, which has nothing to do with Capitalism. Unless
humanity changes on a whole, Star Trek is a dream.

It's a post scarcity society which is what we are approaching. We
each need approximately 3000 calories a day to survive. Originally
we had to devote most of the day every day to eat enough to sleep.
Since then we have created better stone tools, farming, metal
tools, complex technologies, and we're closing in test tube meat
and fully automated farm factories. Star Trek has crossed over to
everyone get all necessities of life without any human involved in
production. At that point you have each entire day to sleep, play
games, do physics research, anything you want.

We have strong systems to let society survive famine. But our
current crisis is the glut of overproduction. We make more than we
can use, and continuing to use the old distribution means people
cannot sell enough their time to buy what costs so little, which
means the people have even less work to sell their time for, and
the poor get poorer, while misdistribution make a few richer than
they can ever use.

Do you realise the moral imperative that 'you must work rather
play xbox all day' no longer serves society?

Hmm. Good point. But there is also the possibility that these guys we see
filling their potential are the ones who were selected for those
qualities...kind of like getting into West Point.

While the rabble did other thing. "Mudd's Women" had some of that
rabble...definitely not Starfleet material.

Depends what you do, where you work, and who you work with.

A good letter from a local or state representative will get you into West
Point, Annapolis, and AF Academy too. The challenge is staying there.
100% effort every waking moment, follow the rules, no drugs or you're out.

Definitely the calibre of women I'd expect to see on Star Trek.

Welfare society has shown that if people are provided the necessities,
they do not strive to improve themselves (for the most part).

Is there a point in here?

You're right - the right to play xbox is gathering steam.
So much for the Star Trek "Utopia" <eyeroll>

And speaking of women, I note that in Strange New Worlds, which is before
Kirk's enterprise, there is not a miniskirt to be seen.

Perhaps we'll see them come into vogue during the SNW series (when pigs fly,
given current sensibilities).

So what? If it's not necessary for people to work for food, why
not let them be free to what they want?
