Hello All.

when i boot up my c128 in 128 mode the floppy seeks and tries to boot, but it
fails (because the drive is empty) and the flash starts to blink and do not
stop blinking. is it the normal behaviour? i think the blink should stop.
anyways the drive seems to work fine.

thanks,

That is normal. At least for a 1541 (hooked up to a C64). Suppose it's
the same for a C128.

but the c64 do not want to boot from the disk :)

I just tried it in the Vice emulator. There, the blinking does stop.
The drive status reads the startup message, not just "OK". That might
suggest that the C128 resets the drive after the unsuccessful boot
attempt.

Could it be that the reset line in your IEC cable is broken? Does the
drive restart when you boot into C64 mode?

nope, not with go64.
but if i hold the commodore key while booting up, then everything seems to be
normal, no blinking

During this, the drive light should come on for a second or so, and
the spindle motor should spin for a couple of seconds.

If it does not, it could indicate that your IEC cable is bad. Do you
have another one to test?
