I've finally found a bit of time, along with peace and quiet, to write up my thoughts on the Fall 2017 anime season. In retrospect it turned out to be a more entertaining season than I expected at the beginning.

“Infini-T Force” - episodes watched: 12 (completed), final rating: A. This full 3DCG version of a tokusatsu superhero show was a lot of fun. It was fast-paced, filled with action, well voice acted, and looked really good.

“Houseki no Kuni” - episodes watched: 12 (completed), final rating: A. This was a show that surprised me a tremendous amount. I was expecting next to nothing from it at the beginning but the Clarke-like setting and story grabbed me. This was also full 3DCG and looked great, but it was the story telling that was the most compelling, along with some great direction. (The “monster in the house” scene was one of the greatest animated suspense scenes that I've ever watched.)

“Fireball Humorous” - episodes watched: 3 (completed), final rating: A. Once again Disney Japan succeeded in creating an incredible world in a few ultra-shorts.

“Hozuki no Reitetsu S2” - episodes watched: 13 (completed), final rating: B+. This satire of Japanese bureaucracy was a lot of fun again the second time around, although not quite as consistently hilarious as the first season.

“Garo – Vanishing Line” - episodes watched: 12 (continuing), current rating: B+. This is a fun and reasonably unpretentious Beer and Popcorn action show which for the most part delivered what was promised and expected. It's not breaking any new ground but it is entertaining. I expect it to continue in the same manner during the second half of the season.

“Mahoutsukai no Yome” - episodes watched: 12 (continuing), current rating: B. This fantasy series continuously looks great, but I also find it to be continuously irritating because of the characters. In theory this is based upon a seinen manga, but the characterization and development in the anime are pure low-level shoujo. But I'll grit my teeth and carry on into the new season in the hopes that things pick up.

“Osake wa Fufu ni Natte Kara” - episodes watched: 13 (completed), final rating: B. This was a cute and short bit of nonsense about a near-alcoholic salary-woman and her bartender husband. Every week a new mixed drink was introduced just before the easily inebriated wife let her hair down and started to molest her willing husband.

And I continued to watch “Meitantei Conan”, now at 886 episodes, “One Piece”, now at 819 episodes, and “Folktales S2”, now at 39 episodes.

I checked the first episode. It was a bit confusing, but is
action-packed and looks good. The 3DCG near-realistic character
animation looks rather creepy.

I checked the first episode, and could not relate it to your description
at all. A battle of Gems (brittle girls in little black shorts) vs
Lunarians. I'm not hooked so far.

I checked the first episode of this. Still fun, but have not got around
to watching the rest.

AKA 'The Ancient Magus's Bride'. I have watched three episodes so far,
as I can watch it on crunchyroll. I don't like the designs that much and
the main female character is rather passive.
