I've read the others now, and while there's a little more content to
them than in the premier, I'm still left with a sense of "Why bother, if
this is all that you're gonna do?" It reminds me of those lame HEROES
comics that were coming out during that show's run.

And maybe we'll get a second panel of Chloe or Green Arrow by then, too.

Let's face it, it's gonna be 'all Tess all the time' - just the Luthor
boys.

No.

Billie's not really been seen and hardly mentioned since the comics
series began. But practically everybody else still alive or
dead-but-active at the end of the TV series has made a significant
story appearance so far, so I think she'll show up eventually. The
comikcs's writier, Paul Ruditiz (sic?) wrote The Walking Dead
Companion and other TV-related books, so he's been treating the show
with a healthy respect, stuffing it with story but not over-stuffing
it. The Charmed Ones have a lot of kids, not to mention other
relatives, husbands and whatnot, after all.

I liked those a lot. The only problem was the relentless 8-to-10 page
structure of the individual stories and serial installments. Although
I got them via the hardcovers, they culmulatively convinced me that
the problem with webcomics is that they're -- by the necessities of 1)
catering to people so attemtion-challenged that they make the
notoriously ADD David Boreanaz look like Mister Rogers by 2)
delivering content to them via a format so inefficient with respect to
both the haiku-like comic strips and th e sprawl of the "decompressed"
storytelling of modern superhero comics -- an utterly useless format
that, relative to cars, makes Humvees look like the zenith of
automobile manufacturing.

Well, I added the "No," to the follow up question about Kaley Cuoco's
character, Billie.

I have a hunch that the comic isn't destined for a long life, and it's
gonna be no one's fault but the people making this weak effort on the
thing. I know a fair number of people who have been really interested in
a comics extension/addition to the story, and no one has mentioned being
impressed with what we've been given. Heck, few would seem to even put
it in the "average" category. And as for Tess, I'm pretty sure that
it'll be impossible for the comics version to bother me as much as the
real one. Chin and all. :)

In fact, there didn't seem to be an issue 4 this week, although Free
Comic Week might have upset the schedule.

Okay, I thought that this was gonna be a bimonthly or monthly thing
eventually. If it's a weekly, then I'll cut 'em a *little* slack for the
lack of much plot development so far.

And therein lied the problem. It was like channel-surfing, and being
able to catch an entire story line in the time that it takes to hit the
button to surf to the next channel.

I have NO idea what the schedule is. Some similar sounding Spider-Man
came out this week; I haven't bothered to look at it yet.
