Is there a way to import a PPC 'Address Book’ file into 'Contacts' on Intel Macbook Pro?

The data files are in a back-up of the PowerMac G4 hard drive on a G-Drive mini external drive. I haven’t been able to import the data from the external drive (which is hooked up to the MBP) into ‘Contacts’ on the MBP. I no longer have the G4 machine so I cannot open the AddressBook application to convert the data to a different format like csv or vcf files.

The 'Address Book’ had been on 2003 PowerMac G4 (dual 1.0 GHz, Mirrored Drive Doors) running 10.4.11. I’d like to transfer it to my MacBook Pro (13”, Mid 2012) running Yosemite 10.10.5.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!
Ruth

Start the mbp in firewire mode and connect it to the g4 via a firewire
cable drag the address book files across to the mbp restart the mbp and
then import the address book to your contacts. that is if your g4 is the fw
800 model the mbp should just be seen as an external hdd not bootable ,

will
