Which is a good group for Intel-based Macs? There's so many groups that I
really don't know which one to pick.

Some time ago I bought a Mac Mini Core Dual, and so far I had no problems.
But recently, I updated Flash Player and then it didn't work anymore. After
some experiments I managed to return to the old version and it worked
again.
Now I'd like to know what's going on there, and if later versions would
work again with my 10.6.8 and Firefox 29.0.1, so if you know a nice and
active group for that, let me know!

The only two "Core Duo" Mac mini models that Apple ever marketed are by now about 8 years old. Any problems with those are not typical of other Intel Macs.

In any case, it seems that your problems were with Adobe Flash Player, rather than with Intel Macs. You may wish to check out the following:

Thanks, Fabian,

I should have phrased my question more clearly, I guess, but because I
thought that maybe my 10.6.8 was the culprit, I wanted to do that in the
proper group. Anyway, it would have read like this:

"After installing a Flash Player update from 11.9.900, it didn't work
anymore on 10.6.8. Now maybe a newer version is working again, but before
trying, I thought to ask if anyone had installed the most recent version of
Flash Player /Shockwave Flash plugin on 10.6.8 successfully."

Fortunately, I can answer that myself, now that I've just installed
13.0.014 and things seem to work as they should.

I'm still looking for advice on where to find a nice and lively Intel-Mac
group, or maybe a Core Duo group?
Then I won't have to irritate Mr Fangy with my questions anymore...
By the way, I didn't find an answer on Adobe's pages or their forum. The
best help page for Flash Player in my opinion is this one:
http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player.html

Completely agree with Fabian about your problem. But at the other hand I
would say: Seen the fact that you are using an IntelMac, it will be a clever
idea to subscribe to a list discussing IntelMac-problems. I'm very happy
with:
