Shouldn't a person be able to run a null modem cable from serial port 1 to serial port 2 of the same PC and then run TCPSER4J on serial port 2 and VICE on serial port 1?

I can do it with Winvice to an extent. It does not figure in carrier
detect properly. It always says its a carrier where on real hardware
connected to the same PC works properly.

This is using the ACIA emulation.
